I stood up and walked to the desk.
Have you heard my plea and left me with a sign, little bird?
In the darkness, at night, with everyone having gone to sleep, I took the keys. I got myself a flashlight that was lying around in case of a shortcut.
I walked out of my room, along the corridor, down the stairs.
Ground floor.
Further down, one step after another, as I was following your call, your lead.
First floor underground.
A staircase made of stone, cold and dark, as I turned on the flashlight. A sole light penetrated the darkness, as I walked down, feeling my heart beating like crazy, when I came in front of the massive and dark door.
Second floor underground—the cellar.
Taking my house key, I put it into the lock– it fitted.
I closed my eyes as I turned the key, the lock not moving, the door not opening.
