My heart still didn't calm down from the close proximity to my companion, and I did my best not to touch my lips in an attempt to understand what had just happened.

My companion had gone to check the room downstairs while I sat here alone. The portal pulled me again and a bad feeling spread through me.

The more time passed, the more I heard his voice that cleared, the more I smelled his smell and felt how my body reacted to his touch, the more he reminded me of Jude.

What if I wasn't inside another world? What if I was in my own world all along, if this was a dream, if everything happening to me was my illusion? It was scary, and I did my best to control these thoughts, and tried to make myself believe that it was nonsense.

The dream had gone for too long to be unreal, and although the usual powers I had with my vision changing, maybe really glimpsing in another world. There was no way my senses could deceive me for such a long and heavy time.
