Kate's hands were slender, resting lightly at her sides. Fine veins traced delicate patterns across the backs of her hands, each one distinctly visible.
As Ivy hooked her pinky finger around Kate's, Kate's hand trembled slightly.
"Which film are we watching?" Kate inquired.
"You'll see once I play it," Ivy replied.
"Under the Sun"—an award-winning piece. It must be exceptional; surely Senior Kate wouldn't mind watching it?
"Alright." Kate did not object. While Ivy set up the projector, she helped by drawing the curtains.
Halfway through her preparations, Ivy asked, "May I turn off all the cameras?"
Kate looked at her silently, but her gaze seemed to question, "Why do you want to turn off the cameras? Planning something mischievous?"
Ivy defended herself, "It wouldn't look good for the audience to see us lounging in bed watching movies in broad daylight."
"As you wish," Kate responded.
