Accepting A Disciple

"Yeah, Mom... It's your favorite son!! I'm safe."

"Thank God!! Where are you? Tell me! I'll be right there! Come on, Son! Tell me! Where are you?!"

Christopher smiled, hearing the care and worry in her tone. Before he could say anything, Amara continued:

"Why are you silent, Son?! Come on. Tell me, I heard you entered the taxi with two girls?! Are you all okay?! Leyla and your siblings are searching everywhere for you! Tell me where you are?!"

"Slow down, Mom. I'm fine and will be back before dinner. Prepare my favorite foods!" Christopher said with a smile, still puzzled why the owner of the body's favorite foods were also his.

"You don't have to worry; I'll prepare everything! But shouldn't you tell me where you are?"

"Don't worry, Mom... All you need to know is, I'm safe and will be back before dinner."

He waited a few seconds before he heard Amara's voice again.

"Okay, Son... I'll be expecting you... Be safe."

Christopher nodded and added:

"Mom. I lost my phone, so I don't have Adonis's or Katherine's contact numbers. Can you send them to me?"

"Sure, sure... I'll do it right away."

"Thanks, Mom."

_

Christopher nodded and disconnected the call.

"Chris?"

He turned around to the two sisters, who were staring at him with trepidation.

'Here we go,' he thought.

[Valhalla Family's Mansion.]

"Phew."

Amara sighed in relief, removing the phone from her ear.

"What happened? Is Christopher okay?" Ethan, who sat beside her the whole time, asked.

"Yeah, my baby is safe... Oh!"

Ethan watched as she tapped on the phone screen, and after a few seconds, she looked up at him with a smile.

"Done. This is for you!"

She gave him the phone, stood up, and rushed toward the kitchen.

"Where are you going?" Ethan asked in mild confusion, staring at his wife.

"Where else?! To prepare my baby's favorite foods... He's coming back," she said, not even looking back.

"This woman."

Ethan sighed and called Leyla's number.

[Back To Christopher.]

[Ten Minutes Later.]

"So, it's good the goddess is in me?" Advika asked in mild confusion.

"Yeah, as you said... Your father is sick, and by mastering the goddess's powers and winning against her... You'll be able to heal his illness," Christopher said, staring at the two sisters, who sat opposite him on the couch.

Advika turned her head to Sylvia, then at Christopher:

"Is there anything I'll have to give? Or is this dangerous for me?"

"Yes, highly dangerous..." Christopher answered without hesitation and added:

"The Golden Organization is after you, mainly because of the powers... And trust me, if they catch you, they'll experiment on you and take control of your brain." Christopher sighed, staring at the girls' horrified faces.

"Do you know what you'll turn into? You'll turn into a serial killer whose only job is to follow orders like a mindless puppet... To survive, you have to stay with me."

"Then will you teach me?" Advika asked, staring at Christopher with hopeful eyes.

'I don't need any disciple, but what will I do? If Death-Flames or Eagle-Eye gets hold of her... It'll be disastrous.'

The two sisters looked at one another, then at Christopher, patiently waiting for his reply....

...After what seemed like a century, which was actually 10 seconds, Christopher opened his mouth:

"Okay, I'll take you as my disciple, but no one should know about this... Your first task... Call out your beast and keep feeding it your life force."

Christopher stood up after saying that and walked away.

"Huh? What will that do?" Advika asked in mild confusion.

"Just do it; don't ask your mentor questions, just follow orders," Christopher answered, not looking back.

"Come on, Advika, call out Vicki... And let's see what'll happen," Sylvia said with a smile.

Advika thought for a moment and finally nodded. She then rubbed her ring:

"Come out, Vicki."

A green light fled out and turned into the earth cat... Advika stood up from the couch, pointed a finger at Vicki, and started transferring her life force into its body.

Christopher stared at her from the entrance, nodded, and walked out of the house.

He stopped at the edge of the hill and looked at the city, which was hundreds of miles away.

"Master, we're currently in the red zone. Don't you think we should head back?" Lazarus asked, landing behind him.

"Head back? Of course, we will.... But not yet." He brought out his phone and called Adonis.

"Hey. It's your brother."

"Big Brother! Where are you?! Our forces will come get you instantly," Adonis's voice sounded from the other end.

Christopher sighed:

"Tell those people beside you this: if they record or track this call, I'll punch you when we meet again."

Adonis, who sat in the car, subconsciously turned his head to the men with computers; they were also staring at him in shock.

"Hmm... Brother, how did you know?"

"Forget all that; you guys should do this."

Adonis gestured to the men to stop recording or tracking. He silently listened to Christopher's words and nodded in understanding.

"Don't worry, Brother! It'll be done! You don't need to worry about anything."

"What happened? What did Brother say?" Katherine asked.

"Come on, we have two tasks. You'll go to the Tamer Enterprises and get these things."

Adonis explained everything and turned to Leyla.

"Leyla, we'll be going to Exurb with our forces."

"Okay," Leyla nodded.

In less than five minutes, countless cars moved to their different locations.

___

[Back to Christopher.]

"That was a good idea. Those guys will surely go to the girls' family.... Taking them away is the best idea."

Christopher nodded at Lazarus, moving his gaze around. "Where is Lucas?"

"I'm here, Master."

Lucas flew down from the sky and landed beside Lazarus.

"Any discovery?" he asked.

"Hmm... They're a pack of monsters in the north, all legendary-stage... Total: 10... Known as Devil Dogs."

"Dogs? Devil Dogs? All legendary-stage?" Christopher was stunned.

"Yes, their bloodline; darkness... Specialize in poisonous and mind attacks and are extremely dangerous."

"Thanks for reminding me, Lucas."

Christopher turned his head to the northern location and smirked:

"Let's go hunting; I'll need some more beasts... 13 isn't enough."
