[Valhalla Family's Mansion.]
"You guys are back! What about your brother? Where is Christopher?! I made all his favorites... Come on, where is he?"
The moment Adonis and Katherine walked inside the luxurious sitting room, Amara bombarded them with questions, her gaze darting from right to left, even yelling.
The two looked at one another in confusion and turned to their mom.
"Mom! Isn't Brother back? We called his phone, but it was unreachable; we thought he'd be back by now," Katherine said in mild confusion.
"Back? If he's back, would I be asking you? But... Shouldn't he come home and see his mother before going anywhere?" Amara sat down on one of the couches.
Seeing their mom's crestfallen state, the two sighed and walked toward her, sitting on either side of her.
"Mom, maybe Brother is helping someone with one or two things; he'll be back soon," Adonis said.
"Yeah, Mom. Brother is--"
["Breaking News!"]
"Huh?"
The three turned to the TV before them, their eyes widening at the sight of the destroyed and flaming bridge.
["As you can see, Cordelia's Bridge is down... No one knows what happened, but from the investigation, it seems to be caused by powerful beasts... Don't be scared; the zone is safe; there's no break-in of beasts, which means this was done by tamers, powerful tamers. At the moment, because of the flames, there are casualties: 50 wounded and 10 deaths, mostly caused by accidents... For the time being, we are searching for the tamers... From the footage of the incident, we got this guy."]
The reporter moved to the side, and a video recording appeared on the screen... Showing the car chase. The video zoomed in and settled on Christopher, who was driving the taxi onto the highway, with the Audis chasing behind.
Katherine: "Big Brother!!"
Adonis: "Brother!!"
Amara: "My baby!!!"
The three stood up in shock, seeing the cars opening fire on the taxi.
"What is this?!!"
A surprised voice hollered from behind, as Ethan walked down the stairs, staring at the screen with a deep frown.
"Old man, that... That's my baby!! Do something!! No! Why are they after him?!! Leyla!!!"
"I'll call the security deputy." Ethan brought out his phone and made a call.
At that moment, Leyla rushed down the stairs and stopped in front of Amara.
"Madam," she bowed.
"Look!"
Amara pointed at the screen.
Leyla turned her head to the TV. Seeing the chase, her face turned pale.
"Christopher?"
"Yes! Go with Adonis and Katherine; use any means possible! I don't care if our forces and tamers turn the whole city upside down; you must find my son!"
"Yes, Madam!!!"
Leyla saluted, her meek aura gone, replaced by the aura of a commander. She quickly walked away.
'I know he escaped; with the powers of the Supreme Tamer in him, a small chase won't hurt him... But I need to move with caution; those guys won't be easy,' Leyla thought, walking up the stairs. She brought out a small phone and made a call:
"Mobilize all our forces and intelligence agencies. Search for Master Christopher; use his phone, satellites, or anything, just give me a goddamn answer in less than five minutes!"
Without waiting for the other side to reply, she disconnected the call, rushing toward her room.
"Is something wrong?"
The workers in the hallway asked one another in confusion.
______
[Hideout.]
[One hour later.]
Advika's eyes fluttered open, and she moved her gaze around the room.
"Huh?"
She quickly sat up, frantically moving her gaze around the unfamiliar room. She then massaged her temples, trying to remember what happened.
"This?! Sylvia was shot! But what happened next? How did I end up here? And where is Sylvia?"
"You're awake."
Sylvia walked into the room, carrying a tray of tea and toasted bread.
"Sylvia?"
Advika looked up at her sister in surprise and a hint of confusion.
"Where are we, Sylvia?" she asked.
Sylvia sat down and placed the tray on the bed.
"We're in Chris's hideout."
"Hideout?" Advika was confused; she calmly observed Sylvia and added in confusion:
"Sylvia, I thought you were shot?"
"Oh, Chris's beast healed me."
"Okay, but... What happened? I can't seem to remember anything."
Sylvia was silent, thinking of ways to answer the question. After a full five seconds, she opened her mouth:
"Big Sis, you should eat first, then I'll tell you everything."
"No, Sylvia, what happened? The Golden Organization, what happened to them?--"
"--Calm down, Big Sister. I'll tell you everything; you just need to eat."
Advika stared at her with a slight frown, then picked up the tea and a slice of bread... She took a bite and quickly drank a little of the tea, then placed everything down and turned to Sylvia.
"Come on, I have eaten; tell me now." She took Sylvia's hands in hers.
"How did we escape the men and that dragon...? Did Christopher fight them alone? Come on, Sylvia! Why are you silent?! Say something."
Advika was getting reckless; she knew something happened, but she couldn't remember a thing.
"You lost control, and the spirit in your body took over. You caused a lot of casualties on the bridge and even tried to kill both Sylvia and me... If not for Sylvia, we would have been cold bodies, getting prepared to be buried, or worse, we wouldn't see our bodies... Because you'll burn them to ashes."
The two sisters turned their heads to Christopher, who stood leaning against the door, his gaze fixed on Advika.
"This? What spirit? Casualties? What are you saying, Christopher? I don't understand... Someone, please explain everything to me!" Advika was getting annoyed, not knowing why they were keeping her in the dark.
"You destroyed the bridge, and..."
Christopher went on, telling Advika what happened on the bridge, how she lost control and transformed into a fire maniac... To Sylvia's shock, he even went to the village incident and told her every single detail, leaving her father's condition out... He made sure to reveal every single detail, his tone harsh, not holding back...
...The more Advika listened, the paler she became, and in less than five minutes, Christopher stopped.
"Think about it, and when you're done, meet me outside."
With that said, he walked away, leaving the sisters to talk things out.
"Sylvia?"
Advika turned her head to her sister, hoping what Christopher said was all lies, but seeing Sylvia's face, her world collapsed.
"It can't be!! No!! It can't be!! A spirit is inside me!! No way! No!!"
She got out of bed, her face filled with regret, pain, betrayal, guilt... She was anxious.
Seeing her sister's unstable state, Sylvia quickly stood up and walked around the bed to her sister.
"Calm down, Advika. You didn't kill anyone! In these two incidents, no one was killed... Only injured... You didn't kill anyone--"
"--That's not an excuse!! What about those in the hospitals? What if they don't survive?! How am I going to live with myself?! No, I need to get rid of this spirit."
"Calm down, Sister! We'll face this together, and it seems Christopher knows a lot about this goddess. Let's go and meet him. Oh! There's something I need to tell you."
Advika stared at her sister with a raised eyebrow: "Christopher knows about the spirit?"
"Yes, and he has two divine-stage beasts, with a Level 10 combat strength. The two beasts could use another appearance, remember that cat in the test?"
Advika nodded, although her mind was on the main issue.
"It's really a tiger, but he said we should keep it a secret."
Advika nodded and grabbed her sister's hand.
"Come on, we need to go to him; he might help me get rid of this goddess!!"
She pulled Sylvia out of the room.
"That was an outburst, but at least she now knows everything."
Christopher walked toward the phone on a desk and picked it up.
"At least I should tell my mom I'm safe... That I'll be returning very soon."
He tapped his mother's number and sent it... Placing the phone to his left ear.
'Thank goodness I have another spare phone here; it's just surprising it's still working after two months... What am I saying? Of course, it'll be working. It has only been two months.... Come on, Mom, answer the phone.'

[Valhalla Family's Mansion.]
"(Sobs), My son!! Look for my son and bring him to me!" Amara said amidst sobs.
"Stop crying, woman. The entire force is looking for our son; they'll find something soon."
RING!!
Amara turned her head toward her phone, seeing it was an unknown number; she ignored it, crying even more.
"They should look for my son! Everywhere!!"
RING!
"They will, but won't you answer the call?" Ethan asked in mild confusion.
"I'm worried about my son, and you're saying I should answer an unknown number?!! What's wrong with you, old man?!"
"....."
In stunned silence, Ethan moved to the side and picked up the phone... He looked at his crying wife and answered it, placing the call on speaker.
"Mom, are you there?"
Christopher's voice sounded from the other end. Instantly, Amara stopped crying, staring at the phone in utter silence.
"Son!"
