Annette's Dreadlurk Sloth emerged, its claws glinting like polished titanium.

Annette's voice was a whisper. "Let's see how your toy handles this."

The Sloth vanished into a cloud of Neurotoxin Fog.

The fog enveloped the stage, obscuring vision. Bane's massive body trembled slightly as he chuckled.

Suddenly, the Sloth struck from behind.

"Shadow strike!"

"Bang!"

Sparks exploded in midair as the Sloth claws slash deep into the body of the Mecha-bear's.

Blood splattered everywhere as a large gash appeared behind the Steelbear's body.

Bane smirked. "All that, for a few drops of blood?"

The Mecha-bear's eyes glowed and its body trembled as its metallic back started healing, Nanobots merging together to form another metal over it.

Annette's eyes widened. "What—?"

"Nanobots, sorry."

Annette's face changed slightly and she immediately stomped her feet to the ground.

The ground exploded as she vanished, keeping distance from Bane.

"I was keeping this as a surprise for Ezra. However, I did promise you five blows didn't I?"

Before Annette could reply, Bane raised his hands and immediately he clenched his fists a magnetic force exploded around Annette as it drew her towards Bane like a magnet.

"Titan Vortex!" Bane roared, his voice echoing across the arena.

Annette's face changed slightly as she felt her body being pulled inexorably toward Bane.

"Shadow strike!"

Her body blurred as she tried to vanish from the force field. However, she was simply weaker than Bane.

The magnetic force gripped her Dreadlurk Sloth like an invisible hand, drawing her closer despite her desperate struggle against it.

The Steelhide Mecha-bear's metallic body hummed with energy as the magnetic field intensified.

With a desperate burst of strength, she twisted her body mid-air and shot out her titanium claws, attempting to anchor herself to the stage floor.

The claws dug deep furrows into the ground, sending chunks of debris flying as she fought against the pull.

"Useless," Bane stated coldly. "I told you five moves. This is only my second."

The Mecha-bear's eyes flashed crimson as it raised one massive paw. With a thunderous clap, it slammed the ground, sending a shockwave of energy toward Annette.

"Tectonic Wrecker!"

The ground beneath Annette's Sloth erupted in a controlled explosion, shattering her anchoring point and launching her directly towards him

The audience gasped collectively as Bane struck out with his claws.

"KA-BOOM!!!"

Annette's voice was cut short as she was struck violently across the stage, her body skidding to a halt mere inches from the edge.

"That's three," Bane said, slowly advancing toward her crumpled form.

"Care to forfeit before the fourth?"

Annette struggled to her feet, her Sloth's body trembling with the effort. Blood dripped from the wound on her chest.

Her chest appeared to have caved in slightly too.

"I'm not... done yet," she gasped, gathering the last bit of her strength.

More fog escaped her body as she vanished within its depth.

"Like I said, useless!"

"Shadow strike!"

Her roar rang out through out the stage as she disappeared in a blur, reappearing behind Bane in a perfect execution of Shadow Strike.

Her titanium claws flashed as they aimed directly for the Mecha-bear's spine.

But Bane didn't even turn around. The corner of his mouth curved into a cruel smile.

"Four."

His body suddenly radiated with blinding arcane energy as blue patterns spread across the Mecha-bear's metallic hide.

"Arcane Overclock!"

The Mecha-bear moved with impossible speed, twisting away from Annette's strike with fluid movement as though he had eyes at the back of his head.

Before she could react, Bane had seized her by the throat, energy crackling around its paw.

"And five."

With devastating force, Bane slammed Annette into the ground. The stage cracked beneath the impact, forming a small crater around her body.

The robotic voice cut through the stunned silence: "Annette is unable to continue. Bane wins!"

The crowd erupted in cheers, though many faces showed concern for Annette's condition as medical staff rushed onto the stage.

Bane casually dusted off his hands and walked away without a glance at his fallen opponent.

His gaze found Ezra in the waiting area, and a cold smile spread across his face.

"I hope you were paying attention, farm boy." he called out loud enough for everyone to hear. "Your little pet won't last even three moves against me."

In the VIP section, Drake Davinci nodded with satisfaction. "Now that's proper talent," he remarked to no one in particular.

Gjorn Sycrpt smiled thinly. "Indeed. The final match should be quite... educational for that upstart."

Principal Cane's expression remained carefully neutral, though his eyes tracked Ezra's reaction closely.

In the waiting area, Ezra's face remained impassive as he watched Bane's display of strength.

Ezra chuckled in his mind. "I defeated him once. I can do that again.

In his mind as long as it was someone he had defeated once before, there was no need to worry about the past. They aren't even worthy to make him worry.

From the stands, Arella's voice rang out clear and defiant: "Don't let him intimidate you, sweetheart! Show him what you're really made of!"

A collective chuckle rippled through the crowd as Ezra's shoulders hunched slightly in embarrassment.

Principal Cane stood up and announced across the arena. "After a short break, we will proceed to the final match between Bane and Ezra!"
