The envoys began talking amongst each other, discussing the upcoming battle.
The students looking forward to it while the teachers were hoping their students get chosen by the various envoys that had come to the school from the Universities.
At the corner of the resting stage, a steward headed inside one of the rooms.
"Mr Bane, your father ask me to give this serum to you."
The middle-aged Steward said slowly and slipped a crimson dark serum into Bane's hands.
Bane's face changed slightly. "I don't need this to defeat the sheep boy."
"Your father says he doesn't want any mistakes to happen. He wasn't you to enter the most prestigious university since it concerns your fortune and the future of the Scrypt family."
Bane's face changed slightly. But he couldn't say anything. He clenched his fists tightly. He didn't think Ezra would cause him so much trouble. He was even more determined to crush Ezra and kill his Symbiote!
…
The fifteen-minute break felt like mere seconds as tension coiled through the arena.
The spectators' voices had risen to a fever pitch, their excitement palpable as they argued the upcoming clash between the farm boy prodigy and the Scrypt family heir.
On the other side of the arena, Bane who had linked to the body of the Steel-bear stared at the crimson serum in his paws.
The liquid pulsed with crimson glow, seeming to respond to the proximity of his Symbiote.
His eyes suddenly hardened, he uncorked the vial and downed its contents in a single swallow.
The effect was immediate. Pain lanced through his body as the serum infiltrated his bloodstream.
The metallic components of his Symbiote began to resonate beneath his skin, causing blue-white energy to ripple across his forearms in pulsing waves.
"This time," he growled, "I'll tear that son of a bitch apart piece by piece."
…
Principal Cane's voice boomed across the arena. "The moment has arrived for our championship match! Bane versus Ezra, for the title of tournament champion!"
The crowd roared as both contestants emerged from opposite sides of the arena. Ezra walked with calm confidence, his plain attire standing in stark contrast to Bane's ornate combat gear emblazoned with the Scrypt family crest.
From the VIP section, Gjorn Scrypt leaned forward, his fingers drummed rhythmically on the table before him.
His eyes expressionless as he stared at the arena with cold expression on his face.
…
The two competitors locked eyes across the twenty meters that separated them. Bane's lips curled into a sneer, while Ezra's expression remained unreadable.
"I don't know what you did to link with a silver level beast. However, I can tell you cheated. Someone like you doesn't deserve a Symbiote."
Bane continued with killing intent in his eyes. "If you willing slap yourself 50 times, knee down and beg for mercy 100 times, I might consider letting you leave here alive."
Ezra chuckled. "Why the hell would I do that?"
Bane's smile widened. "That's good. I was thinking I scared you. Now that I know you're not forfeiting, I can finally let loose."
"You really talk too much. I thought you might have learnt your lesson when I killed your Symbiote."
Bane's face changed and his eyes turned blood red as he remembered the pain of Ezra killing his Symbiote. He wanted to make Ezra feel 100 times the pain and he swore he would do it.
The air crackled with anticipation as both contestants assumed their stances.
The stage AI's voice cut through the tension: "Final championship match: Begin!"
The word had barely registered when both fighters simultaneously beast-link.
The air around Bane warped as arcane energy cascaded across his body, metallic plates erupting from beneath his skin.
The massive frame of pure metal expanded behind him, doubling in size as the Steelhide Mecha-bear roared.
"ROOOOAR!"
The roar was primal, cold and filled with killing intent. From its previous 3 meters, it had grew another meters tall!
"What the hell is going on, was Bane hiding his strength all along."
Noticing the increase in strength, the audience started to discuss among each other. It was quite the surprise seeing Bane's Symbiote grow so massive.
Simultaneously, Ezra's transformation unfolded with primal elegance.
"ROOOOOOAR!!!"
An ancient aura burst out of him with that roar as Ezra felt the massive battle intent and bloodlust and pure brutality ripple through him like a tide.
He wanted to battle, hard!
Not even a second and passed as a roar exploded.
"Arcane Overclock!" Bane roared.
Immediately, his strength doubled in the blink of an eye as purplish electricity crackled through out his body like lightning.
The blue circuits across his Symbiote's body intensified, burning like sapphire fire as the bear's movements accelerated beyond normal parameters. Steam hissed from vents along its shoulders as excess heat was expelled.
"BOOM!"
The ground shattered into pure pieces as a crater appeared underneath his feet.
Bane charged forward with devastating speed, the ground fracturing beneath each thunderous step.
"Blood Fury!"
Ezra's body expanded rapidly as he also grew half a meter taller., almost the same size as Bane.
Seeing Bane charge like a tank, there was not a single fear in his eyes as his battle intent rose.
Rather than retreat, he charged forward to meet Bane's assault head-on.
"Fool!" Bane laughed, metallic claws extending from his Symbiote's paws.
"Titan Vortex!"
The magnetic field erupted around them, pulling debris from the arena floor and forming a swirling maelstrom.
Just as the force enveloped Ezra, his eyes narrowed as his feet colander to twice their size.
"Blood rush!"
With shocking speed the Wrathram burst through the swirling maelstrom and magnetic field like a tank.
"What?" Bane's confidence faltered momentarily as he realized his force field attack wasn't having the expected effect.
Ezra arrived before him like a ghost as he struck out.
"Since you've chosen death, who am I to
stop you!?" Bane roared as he clenched his paws and struck out.
"KA-BOOM!"
It was as though a missile had landed between them as shockwaves blasted outward, explosions rang out as the arena barriers shook violently and flickered.
The surprising teacher quickly went forwards to stabilize the barriers and also guard the students.
Smoke, dust and debris blasted upwards in a mush room cloud as it faded upwards.
"Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!""Bang!"
Ezra was forced five steps backwards. Each feet causing a half meter crater on the ground as he counteracted the force to the ground.
However, Bane was only forced a step backwards.
"Again!"
