Marco's POV
I have to admit, Harper has changed a lot. She’s grown into someone who can stand on her own, and what’s even more surprising is that she managed to handle everything herself. That means I can share my thoughts with her without holding back.
“Harper.” I stopped her as we were putting on our coats, getting ready to go out. She was wearing a pink knitted jacket, her light curls falling on her shoulders. She looked so beautiful that I wanted to take her right then and there.
“Yeah? What’s up?” She turned around, her expression soft.
“Nothing... I just have something to talk to you about when we get back.”
She smiled but didn’t say anything.
The restaurant was one my father had reserved. It was at the top of a skyscraper, the kind of place we hadn’t sat down together as a family since Harper’s engagement. Not that I’d bring up anything about that.
