MEETING MY ENEMY ( THE BETRAYAL)

I stood in the dimly lit room,my eyes fixed on Vine, we'd finally found him and turns out he was working for Rodrigo. My men stood behind me, their faces expressionless. Vine was a weakling,a liability and liabilities needed to be dealt with.

" Your going to tell me everything" I said " every detail,every conversation.i want to know what Rodrigo promised you and what you promised him".

Vine hesitated, he's eyes looking round the room but he knew better than to refuse me,he took a deep breath and began to speak his words spilling out of his mouth. " I was in debt Alex and Rodrigo promised to clear up everything if I helped him take down your operation" he said I raised an eyebrow" and you agreed" I said he nodded " I didn't have a choice Alex ,I was desperate" he said I regarded him coldly " desperate men, do desperate things, but they also make mistakes and you've made a big one Vine" I said ,my men moved forward, their eyes fixed on Vine " we'll take care of him Boss" Leo one of my men said , Vine looked at me, he's eyes filled with fear " what are you going to do to me" he said , ignoring Vine,I walked out of the room " I have other business to attend to " with that I walked away.

As I walked out of the room,I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction, Vine was taken care of and it's time to take down Rodrigo " Marco" I called " Yes Boss" he answered " we're going to take down Rodrigo and we're going to do it today " I said " get the boys ready" I added " Yes Boss, we'll be ready in an hour" he said and left. I reached for my phone and called my informant " got any news on Rodrigo for me" I said " all I know is Rodrigo is expecting a shipment,I don't know how big it is but whatever it is, it's going to give Rodrigo an upper hand in the City" he said. An hour later, My men and I arrived at the docks but I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off , the air was thick with tension and the few people milling around seemed to be watching me with an intensity that made my skin crawl and just as we were about to enter the warehouse,I heard a voice I hated so much " Alex, it's been a long time" I turned to face Rodrigo with a smirk on his face " welcome to the party, I've been expecting you" he said sarcastically ,I stood my ground, unfazed by whatever he said " your just in time to join the party" " I've got a little surprise for you" he said what kind of sinister plan is running through his head, " what have you planned in that empty skull of yours" I said " I was expecting you Alex,i know how gullible you are " he laughed " and I've taken a few precautions" he said.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps echoed through the warehouse , growing louder with each passing moment. I turned to see a group of heavily armed men emerging from the shadows, their guns trained on us. I cursed under my breath as I realized that we were outnumbered and outgunned,but I knew that I couldn't back down now,I had to protect my men and take down Rodrigo,no matter what it took.

After what seemed like an endless firing of bullets,my men and I were able to escape,we knew that as long as Rodrigo was still alive, the war will still be far from over. As we walked towards the warehouse ,my mind wondered to Elian, it's been a day since I last saw him and it felt like eternity,a lot had happened and I wondered if he's doing okay. " We are clear Boss" Marco said after parking the car, there's no way Rodrigo would come this way cause this wasn't his territory " car keys" i stretch forth my hands and Marco dropped the car key on my palm," take care of the boys,if there's anything let me know" I said and walked away. I needed to see Elian and I won't waste another second.
