"Arrival in Cerulean City"

Today has been a strange day. It's been three days since we said goodbye to Jeff and Isabelle on Route 6. Our journey took us through the underground tunnel that connects to Route 5, a dark and silent passage that turned out to be longer than I expected. There were no battles or challenges—just footsteps echoing in the darkness, along with the sound of our breathing.

However, when we reached the other side, we came across something that caught our attention. In front of the Pokémon Daycare, there was a group of people in black uniforms with a large red "R" on their chests. They moved quickly, as if trying not to draw attention, and entered the daycare before we could get closer. If I remember correctly, they belong to a criminal group in this region known as Team Rocket. I wonder if they're as crazy as Team Aqua and Team Magma. Nevertheless, we decided not to interfere. Our mission is clear, and attracting the attention of a criminal organization is not exactly a good idea at the moment. So, we noted that they have some involvement with the daycare, whether it's protection fees or something else, to report to our superiors, and we moved on.

At dusk, we arrived in Cerulean City. I must say, the view at dusk, with the sun setting on the horizon and the moon slowly illuminating the river as Goldeen, Magikarp, and Poliwag play with the townspeople, was truly beautiful. It's a shame that, with the approaching war, it might not last much longer. Anyway, after seeing such a beautiful scene, we found a Pokémon Center and finally managed to rest in the rental rooms on the second floor.

We took the opportunity to ask the townsfolk about Mt. Moon. Most of the information we got was rumors, though some details seemed promising. According to locals, the mountain is home to the shy Clefairy evolutionary line, and according to the older residents, they are said to perform some sort of ritual dance on nights of the full moon—an event that seems to be coming soon. I wonder if we'll be lucky enough to witness it. Jett thinks it's a waste of time, saying it's a cheap version of the nocturnal dance of Volbeat and Illumise, which the people here will learn to truly appreciate when they eventually make it to Hoenn.

Tomorrow, we'll explore the city to look for shops that sell detailed maps of Mt. Moon. The idea is to have clear references for the trafficked areas and the interior of Mt. Moon, which seems to be a maze of tunnels and stairways, for when we start looking for a place to establish our base. If we manage to find where the Clefairy line lives, we'd have a great hidden spot for our base. That said, everything seems to indicate that we're getting closer to completing the first major step of this journey.
