Soren
The call came as a surprise. Darius rarely contacted me unless it was something urgent. That was part of our agreement since we barely had anything to do with each other.
So I was a bit curious as to why he was calling me today of all days. It felt like everyone wanted a piece of me. First, the Alphas, Damien, then the police and now, Darius.
I needed a break.
"Alpha Soren," he said, "you'll want to come down to the territory. There's something here you might want to see."
I frowned, glancing at the clock. It was late in the afternoon, and I wasn't in the mood for any surprises. "Can it wait until tomorrow?"
"No," he replied firmly. "This can't wait. And if you remember, you're the one who asked for this. I was just doing my part."
His words piqued my curiosity. I let out a slow breath, resigned. "Fine. Give me a few minutes. I'll be there."
