Soren
I woke up to the cold bite of metal against my wrists. My head pounded, my limbs felt heavy, and my vision was slow to adjust to the darkness surrounding me.
The air was damp, thick with the scent of mildew and something metallic, blood, maybe mine. I shifted in my seat, only to realize that I couldn't move. My wrists were tied behind the chair, my ankles bound tightly to its legs.
Panic shot through me like an electric current.
"What the fuck?" I snarled, tugging at my restraints. The chair barely budged.
I took a deep breath, forcing myself to stay calm, but my heart hammered against my ribs. Where the hell was I? How did I get here?
The last thing I remembered was driving with Rowan. We were talking, about trust, about betrayal and then…
The crash.
My stomach twisted. Where was Rowan? Was he safe? Was he even alive?
