A sharp, throbbing pain pulsed in my skull as I slowly regained consciousness. The air was thick with dampness, a mixture of sweat, blood, and something else, something metallic. My limbs were heavy, my wrists burning where cold steel shackles dug into my skin.

I felt a sense of Deja vu, not one that I liked at all.

I blinked against the dim, flickering light, my vision swimming. My throat was dry, raw, and my body ached all over, as if I had been beaten in my sleep. For a moment, I was disoriented. I didn't know where I was, how I had gotten here.

Then it all came crashing back.

The car. The impact. The darkness.

My pulse spiked. Soren.

I turned my head sharply, my breath catching when I saw him.
