ROAD TO .....

On the Saturday after Daniels big haul he woke up to a news article in the news paper " WHO IS BALERION?" It went on to talk about how Balerion Acquisitions was the company that got the largest loot in what the news was now calling the JJX boom which was a lie , It was Transcorp ( the conglomerate) that swallowed most of the shares. This was their way of drawing Daniel out and this was going to be a problem because Daniel never wanted anything to do with the media.

After his morning routine Daniel made his way to an indoor gun range where he practiced shooting different guns. It is said that to be proficient one has to spend time sending thousands of rounds downrange.

Daniel quickly got accustomed to the weapons , one of which was a rifle that looked like a mixture of an AR-15 and an M4 chambered in 5.56 ×45 . The firing was smooth, it was not prone to jamming and had an almost non existent recoil.

After Daniel used up his time , he approached the man in charge to inquire how to get hold of such weapons but was rejected for being too young.

Daniel left a little bit dejected, this was one of the moments he wished that he was born in a more mature body. He then went home and made an appointment with the representative of Transcorp for Monday morning but was later rescheduled for noon.

Monday afternoon came quickly and Daniel was standing in front of the mirror, making finishing touches to his attire. This was going to be the first time that he was to appear in a corporate setting and he felt nervous . If anything happened to him now there was no way for him to protect himself, this was not secondary school where everything could be fixed with his first . For the first time since he arrived in this world, he prayed that God would guide him safely throughout his dealings today .

Daniel entered his car and drove through the city for about two hours before arriving at Transcorp headquarters. The place was so magnificent, even the lobby was beautiful.

"Excuse me sir, how may I help you." Daniel heard the receptionist saying with a fake smile. It was then that he noticed that he had been gawking around for about a minute.

He then regained his composure and confirmed that he had an appointment with a representative. He was then escorted to a conference room where he waited for the representative.

After about twenty minutes the representative entered the conference room, the rep was a woman in her forties named Donna.

"Good afternoon madam, I'm Daniel the CEO of Balerion Acquisitions" Daniel said extending his hand for a handshake.

Donna then shook his hand visibly surprised "you are a child?" Donna blurted out.

Daniel laughed and replied "yes ma'am I'm a child, but we have wasted enough time let's get down to business".

Donna then regained her demeanor of professionalism and brought out the documents Daniel was meant to sign. These were the documents that confirmed his stake in JJX construction and also confirmed his position in the board of directors with voting rights.

After the signing was done Donna then told Daniel that there would be a selection for the new CEO of JJX and as he was now on the board, he would be expected to be there. Daniel acknowledged that he knew what it meant to be on a board of directors, he also knew that the selection for the CEO had already been completed and that they just invited him out of formality.

When Daniel finally left Transcorp headquarters he was feeling very famished so he decided to go eat at a restaurant. He got his seat and ordered a simple spaghetti and meatballs with chicken .

After eating,he paid his bill and left. He then went home straight to his office, he then checked on his computer to check if there were any cheap real estate that he could buy. He couldn't find any cheap properties except for an undeveloped land about 20 acres located in a farming town 30 miles away from the city, it was valued at §100000 per acre it was almost as if they were giving the land out free of charge. Daniel decided to call the number listed on the website and set up a meeting.

The next day Daniel filled up his car and drove off to the farming town of Mene . It took him about three hours to find his way there . The man that he was supposed to meet was an old man in his seventies with a bald head and a full grey beard .

Then he was taken to the land and what he saw shocked him , the land was evenly divided into two by a small stream about 3feet deep and six feet wide . On one side of the field was a small cottage surrounded by short grass and on the other side was just filled with weeds . That was what he thought until he took a closer look and saw that it was actually weed ( marijuana ) . He then asked the man if he knew what plant this was and the man said that it was just grass. He also asked if the man knew anything about marijuana but it seemed like he didn't know anything genuinely.

Daniel was giddy with joy he then proceeded to sign sign the sales contract and a check for §2.2 million ( the extra 200k was the ten percent tax for the land purchase).

He then asked the man if he could help him contact some construction workers and labourers which the man agreed.

The next day the man called , he had found some construction workers. Daniel then rushed to the land where the man was waiting for him with a foreman. After exchanging pleasantries he asked the foreman how much it would cost to put a concrete fence around his property and it cost §1.5 million for it to be built with reinforced concrete which was almost the price he got the land for .

After thinking about it ,he decided to go along with the offer , he would pay 500k now and one million when they were done. He would also pay an extra 50k for a large steel gate .

The foreman also promised that it would take about two weeks for the project to be done. Daniel agreed and left the foreman he hoped that the foreman has good work ethics because time was of the essence for this project to work.
