Williams now flashed a strained smile and said, "Sister-in-law, I'm just enforcing the law impartially."
Susan Will sneered coldly, "Impartial law enforcement, you say? I'll make sure to have a word with our Mr. Scott about this. Your so-called impartial law enforcement has come down on my son."
James Johnson, offended by Susan Will's mocking and righteous indignation, felt annoyed. If it were John Smith talking to him like that, it would be one thing, but Susan Will was merely John Smith's wife. What right did she have to talk to him this way? Besides, Williams had come on direct orders from the Director himself, so he felt quite confident. With a faint smile, he said, "I will report this matter to Mr. Shaw and the Director."
"So what you mean is, you're going to let the person who hit my son walk free now?" Susan Will's tone grew even more hostile.
James Johnson still wore a smile, "Indeed, the fault does not lie with the other party, so of course, they should be released."
