In the dark skies above New York, the Emperor stood alongside Spider-Gwen and Hela. Though he had managed to take both women away, Alan was in a bind. He couldn't bring them directly home without a good excuse, but solving the issue outside wasn't feasible either.
Feeling a headache coming on, Alan quietly pulled Gwen aside.
"I can't expose my identity. Do you have any way to help me get her to my house?"
Gwen thought for a moment and replied, "It's simple. I'll just say it's a classmate's house."
"Great!" Alan practically wanted to raise both hands and feet in agreement.
He turned back to Hela and said, "I'll take you to a contact point. It'll be much more convenient there."
Without hesitation, Alan led both women to his home. Seeing the lights still on, he silently prayed that Wanda had already hidden herself.
Once inside, Gwen removed the hood of her suit, revealing her delicate face. Hela's expression remained calm; she had long since deduced Spider-Gwen's identity.
Alan looked at Gwen and asked, "Have you noticed anything different about yourself lately?"
Gwen glanced at her black suit and admitted, "I feel much stronger than before. I've never experienced this kind of power."
As she finished speaking, Alan placed a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"The strength you're feeling doesn't belong to you. It comes from an alien symbiote. Think carefully—when did your suit start turning black?"
Gwen's eyes grew unfocused as she clutched her head, looking pained.
Alan continued, "This symbiote amplifies your desires. If we don't remove it, Gwen, you might become a villain."
"No!" A feral voice erupted from Gwen's mouth as the black symbiote surged from her body, forming a grotesque face.
"Symbiote!" Alan reached out to grab it, but the face sensed the danger and quickly retreated, leaving Alan's hand awkwardly pressing against a soft, rounded surface.
Gwen's face flushed bright red, though the incident helped her piece together what had happened during her parasitism.
"That was… an accident, Gwen," Alan stammered apologetically.
Still blushing, Gwen avoided his gaze.
"How do we remove this symbiote?" she asked.
"It's simple," Alan explained. "We just need to use ultrasonic waves to force it out. But we'll need to prepare a container in advance, or it could attach itself to someone else."
Hela's mouth fell open in astonishment, her eyes shining with admiration as she looked at the Emperor.
"As expected of the man I have my eye on—not only is he powerful, but his knowledge is extraordinary."
"What are you talking about!" Gwen retorted indignantly. Why should he be the man you've chosen?!
Hela huffed coldly, and as the tension between the two women rose again, Alan quickly intervened.
"Let's deal with the symbiote first. I'll go borrow an ultrasonic device from Iron Man."
Leaving the house, Alan flew straight toward Stark Tower.
With the Emperor gone, Hela began to examine the room. Judging by the environment, it was clear someone else lived there. But where were they now?
"Gwen, is this the Emperor's home?" Hela asked.
Gwen maintained a straight face, recalling Alan's strict instruction not to reveal the truth. "No, this is Alan's house. We're classmates."
"Oh." Learning that the Emperor didn't live there, Hela immediately lost interest.
