Alan paced anxiously, unable to figure out why these two would start fighting. But he now realized that the woman Gwen had mentioned earlier was undoubtedly Hela.
Wanda approached the window as well, having seen Hela before. Noticing Alan's concern, she asked, "Is she your friend? Should I go help her?"
Alan quickly pushed Wanda aside. The last thing he needed was more complications. If Hela saw Wanda, who had left with the Emperor, at his place, his identity might be exposed.
"Go hide! And don't come out unless I say so!" he instructed firmly.
After speaking, he donned his Emperor armor and circled around before flying toward the two women engaged in battle.
Hela sidestepped Gwen's attack, then noticed the Emperor approaching in the distance. Delighted, she waved.
"Emperor! I'm here!"
When Alan landed, Hela didn't even spare a glance at Gwen before running up to him.
"Emperor, did you come specifically to see me? Have you decided to return to Asgard with me?"
Hela seemed to have entirely forgotten her fight with Gwen, focusing only on persuading Alan to become the ruler of the Nine Realms.
Alan quickly pushed her away and turned to Gwen. The moment he saw Gwen's black suit, he immediately recognized the telltale signs of a symbiote.
"Gwen?" he called cautiously, testing whether she still had her own consciousness. From what he knew about symbiotes, they amplified their host's abilities and desires. If the host had good intentions, the symbiote would enhance their heroism. But if the host leaned toward darkness, the symbiote would turn them into a supervillain.
"That's her! The person I told you about! Quickly, capture her!" Gwen said, glaring at Hela.
Alan noted that Gwen still seemed rational, indicating that the symbiote hadn't fully corrupted her.
"This is just a misunderstanding!" Alan said, stepping between the two. He couldn't let them keep fighting, especially with Gwen under the influence of a symbiote.
"What do you mean, Emperor?"
"A misunderstanding?"
Both women turned to look at him. Alan first pulled Gwen aside and explained, "That woman is the one you mentioned, right? She's not exactly a bad person, and I happen to know her."
"You know her?" Gwen tilted her head, looking toward Hela. Alan quickly added, "She doesn't know my true identity, so don't give anything away."
Trusting Alan implicitly, Gwen relaxed. Seeing this, Alan then pulled Hela aside to speak.
"Listen, don't harbor any ill intentions toward Gwen. She's got a problem I need to resolve."
"What kind of problem?" Hela asked.
"It's not convenient to explain here," Alan replied, waving dismissively. "Let's get out of here first."
Hela nodded. As long as she could stay with the Emperor, she didn't care about the details.
After diffusing the tension between the two women, Alan wiped the sweat from his brow. The real issue wasn't Hela but the symbiote. In the Marvel Universe, Spider-Gwen had no history of bonding with Venom, yet Alan could clearly sense the symbiote on her.
"You two, follow me!" Alan said, flying toward a safer location. For now, he needed to focus on solving the symbiote problem before worrying about anything else.
