Chapter 260: Symbiote Suit, Gwen’s Descent into Darkness

"What are you trying to do, Gwen?" Hela shouted.

Gwen kicked toward her without hesitation. "Alan told me to be cautious if I ever saw you again. So today, I'm going to capture you!"

"Alan?" Hela murmured, puzzled. She didn't know who Gwen was referring to and assumed he might be one of Gwen's assistants—after all, superheroes often had helpers.

"Stop this, Gwen! I don't want to hurt you!" Hela drew a sharp sword, gripping it firmly in her hand.

Gwen scoffed, shooting webs from her wrists in rapid succession. Her movements were faster, her strength greater than before.

Hela was hit by the webs and pinned to a wall. She swung her sword, slicing through them with ease.

"Something is definitely wrong with Gwen," Hela thought, her instincts alert.

Suddenly, Hela vanished from her spot, reappearing behind Gwen. As Odin's daughter and the ruler of the Nine Realms, Hela's combat skills and magical prowess were unparalleled. She extended her hand, trapping Gwen in a magical hold.

The next second, Gwen unleashed an enormous burst of strength, breaking free and sending Hela flying.

"My powers haven't fully recovered," Hela muttered as she steadied herself. If they were in Asgard, she could easily subdue Gwen. But here, with her strength reduced to less than half due to breaking her seal early, she was at a disadvantage.

Gwen smirked, looking at her hands with satisfaction.

"I'll capture you and bring you to Alan. Then he'll see that I can help him too!"

Gwen lunged again, throwing a punch. Hela dodged swiftly, and Gwen's fist smashed a gaping hole in the wall.

"Who is this Alan? And why does Gwen keep mentioning him?" Hela's mind buzzed with questions.

But there was no time to ponder. Gwen followed up with a fierce kick, forcing Hela to take the fight seriously. Sighing lightly, Hela raised her hands, summoning countless blades from the rooftop.

Seeing no escape, Gwen leapt to the side, clinging to a wall. Hela's lips twitched as she contemplated saying something to de-escalate the situation. However, Gwen's figure blurred as she jumped toward a distant skyscraper.

"Where are you going?" Hela called out, quickly pursuing her. She couldn't let Gwen disappear.

Gwen didn't look back. From their earlier fight, she had gauged Hela's strength and was now leading her toward Alan's residence.

Swinging through the air on her webs, Gwen moved with agility. Hela, using her magic to keep up, narrowly missed catching her several times.

After a few minutes, both stopped, landing on a rooftop. Gwen glanced at Alan's window in the distance, then turned to face Hela.

"Let's settle this right here and now!" she declared.

As she spoke, she shot her webs at Hela. At the same time, her suit began to change, revealing a monstrous face that roared, "I'm hungry!"

The eerie voice startled Hela, who stared at Gwen in shock. This was no longer the friendly Spider-Woman. A monstrous entity had taken hold of her body.

Gwen threw a punch, and Hela raised her hands to summon countless blades as a barrier. The force of Gwen's attack left her momentarily stunned. Tension hung in the air as the two separated.

The commotion outside finally caught Alan's attention. Opening his window, he spotted the two women on the rooftop across the street. For a moment, he stood there, frozen like a wooden figure.

"Is that Gwen and Hela? Why are they fighting?!"
