In a mysterious dimension of the universe, colossal roots intertwined chaotically, stretching from the ground to the sky with countless branches. These branches were thick and abundant, forming a vast network. There was no solid ground here; all living beings thrived on the branches. The lower region was shrouded in thick mist, while the uppermost area glowed with a milky-white radiance.
This was a realm that had grown from the roots of the World Tree.
At this moment, on a massive root that served as the ground, a striking figure suddenly flew in from the distance. It was a woman with fiery red curls cascading down her shoulders. Her golden armor covered her from shoulders to arms, leaving a large portion of her chest and abdomen exposed, revealing her fair skin.
Around her waist was a massive brown belt, and her legs were clad in golden thigh-high boots. The armor accentuated her captivating figure perfectly.
In her right hand, she wielded a sharp short sword, while in her left, she held a strange weapon resembling a scythe.
Her eyes were cold and fierce as she charged at the dark monstrous creature before her. The creature opened its massive maw, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth lining its upper jaw.
In an instant, the woman thrust her sword into the creature's maw, and with sheer force, tore it apart with her bare hands.
Wiping off the black blood from her blade, she gazed at the starry sky behind her. Suddenly, one of the countless stars shone brighter than the rest, outshining all others.
She fixed her eyes on the unusual light and saw a spaceship materialize out of nowhere.
"What is that?!"
She stared in astonishment—such a thing had never appeared in this realm before.
…
"Are we here, Alan?"
Onboard the spaceship, Gwen peered outside. After a long journey through space warps, the ship finally came to a halt.
Red Queen confirmed, "We should be. This is Heven."
Gwen looked out and noticed they seemed to have landed on a giant tree. As the hatch opened, fresh air filled the cabin—breathable and familiar. The group cautiously stepped outside.
Looking around the vast space, it became apparent that there was no real land, yet the roots, stretching hundreds of meters in every direction, were solid enough to serve as ground.
It was Alan's first time in Heven, and he couldn't help feeling a little nervous. Just as he was about to lead the group forward, a sudden gust of wind swept past, followed by the swift flash of a sharp blade.
"Alan, watch out!" Gwen and Wanda shouted in unison. Alan reacted instantly, summoning his Aurora Shield to block the terrifying strike.
"Who are you?" The woman who had previously slain the monster demanded coldly.
Alan looked at her—it was none other than the Angel Hunter, Angela. As he tried to explain their purpose, countless winged figures emerged from all directions. What once seemed like an empty realm was now teeming with hidden inhabitants.
Alan and his team huddled together as the winged beings—angels—suddenly launched an assault. Countless figures soared toward them, forcing Alan to push Red Queen back into the spaceship. Activating his Green Lantern ring, he created an energy barrier to shield the ship.
"Where did you come from?" Angela demanded from above.
To her, these strangers were the first outsiders she had ever encountered in this exiled world. To the angels of Heven, outsiders were dangerous and had to be subdued immediately.
Alan remained silent, gripping his sword tightly as the angels closed in. His gaze locked onto Angela—if he could draw her away from the others, they might stand a chance.
The winged beings surrounding them were the angels who had long inhabited this realm. Once, long ago, Heven was known by another name—Paradise.
