The screen shifted, showing a satellite map with heat signatures. Zara's eyes narrowed as she zoomed in on a specific area, running cross-references and tracking patterns.
"Okay, so… this guy's been spending a lot of time in a specific forest," she said, tapping the screen. "Weirdly consistent for someone who's supposed to be a ghost."
My stomach tightened. "Why a forest?"
"No idea. But it's not normal. And—shit!" Zara yelped, jerking back as her screen flashed red. "Damn it, they've got anti-prying seals. That's some serious security."
I smiled grimly. "Bingo."
Jessica looked at me, her eyes shining with determination. "You know what this means, right?"
"Yeah," I said, standing. "It means I need to talk to Max."
Jessica frowned. "You don't mean—"
"Yup," I said, already heading for the door. "I need his help creating a portal straight to those woods. I'll take it from there."
