Chase found no better way then to descend upon the oasis like a comet, as his body burned from the thousands of flames slowing his fall from the peak of the mountain.
Ricky was sliding down the snow close behind him, on top of a large rounded shield.
The entire jungle was submerged in both orange and green flames, showing that the worst had truly happened.
'Shit...'
Chase landed with far too much power, as his impact put a crater in the earth below him.
Quickly regaining himself, he threw his fur coat aside, and summoned Hero's Fang, preparing himself for the fight that his entire life had lead towards.
And sure enough, a man with white hair and terrible burn marks stood on the blazing porch of the wooden abode, with Talon standing at his side.
Chase shot forward with an immense amount of power, feeling his insides crawl from the dread of spotting both his father's murderer, and the man who had nearly killed one of his good friends.
"BURN!"
Chase screamed as the entire jungle seemed to resonate with his fury.
Flames began to inhabit the sky like a terrible blanket of rage.
His catalyst creaked and groaned from the amount of force he was putting on his energy reserves.
'It all ends here...'
Chase's cobalt sword danced through the heated up air of the oasis, meeting Sazir in a powerful clash as their swords met, and a new crack formed on the man's already fractured sword.
"Who do you think you are boy?"
Sazir grinned.
"The boy who will burn your corpse for a thousand years..."
Chase swept the leg of Sazir being met with a terrible explosion of ice spikes, shooting in every direction.
Talon's dagger had already gotten passed his defenses, and found itself pierced into Chase's back.
But he did not care, and with a powerful roar of flames, he grabbed Sazir's face with his free hand and let the hell within his body come loose.
Terrible flames melted the skin of Sazir's face, and Talon couldn't even get close to the raging inferno.
Sazir then groaned from the terrible onslaught a single phrase that made Chase's blood run cold.
"You're quite alone in this fight..."
Chase quickly scanned the area, only to see that the entire wooden building had turned to a pile of debris and ruins.
No one could be seen within the oasis, and he would have to choose between enacting his revenge, and finding his allies within the scorching ruins.
"YOU BASTARD!"
Chase screamed, as behind him Ricky ran through the inferno and descended into the ruins of the scorching building without any hesitation.
Then a terrible spike of ice shot through Chase's torso, and Sazir was once again standing in front of him, only this time a terrible grin resting on his molten skin.
His white hair had turned black from ash and charred skin.
"This is not a fight you want Stray..."
Chase thought for a moment...
'Does he not know who I am...'
Then their swords clashed once more, Chase felt his hands nearly break from the force of The Wendigo's might.
Trees far away began to fall from the scale of their battle, but it was hopelessly in vain, as Chase quickly realized just how outmatched he was in this fight.
Sazir's blade moved like frozen lightning, and always met its mark, while his body seemed to just tank Chase's attacks with zero consequences.
"I am a god! You stand no chance against me!"
Sazir screamed, as the ice began to build up around him and into some sort of frozen shell that made his body even stronger.
Then with a deep breath, Sazir exhaled a powerful force of wind and ice, that began to freeze Chase into place.
'No... No! NO!'
Chase had been out matched, and was no stuck inside of his own frozen shell.
Sazir stepped forward and looked at Chase's face, then spit on the ground in front of him.
"You show promise, although I hate flames, so do come up with something better next time."
Then Sazir began walking away, and Talon followed behind while dragging the body of one Chase's men.
"No!"
Chase tried to burn the frozen shell, using all of the energy resting inside his catalyst, but it was no use.
'Please no...'
Danny had been completely ruined, his arm was severed from the shoulder, and his face looked terribly deformed.
But a terrible dread dawned on Chase, as he felt his soul.
It was quiet, and empty.
Like a terrible void had once replaced the vibrant chamber of fire.
"What did you do to Sparky!"
Chase screamed, as green flames began to radiate from his own body, tearing apart his own skin but the ice following with it.
It felt like his own soul was burning, as the flames threatened to rip apart his own existence.
Tears burned before they could escape his eyes, but did he not care.
All he could do was burn hotter, and try to rescue his ally.
But by the time the ice melted, they were already gone.
Chase limped and stumbled into the ruins of the wooden building.
And the first thing that he seen was the lifeless corpse of a Hellhound.
He screamed into the smoke filled night sky, as he bled out on the charred wooden floors.
