A few minutes before Jace and Amanda finished their battle with the fairies; Trell, Reyna, and Oliver had arrived at St Charles.
The church looks like a medieval castle. The giant building is best described as three towers connected to a base. The middle tower is the biggest with a giant roman clock in the middle.
The middle tower had a stained window that popped with the colors green, red, and blue. On the painted glass was the picture of an angel. Each towers' roof spikes into the dark sky and pierces through the clouds.
"This church is beautiful, but it still gives off creepy vibes." Trell says while examining the church. The trio walked up to the church's front yard as the bell rang.Signaling that the time had just become five in the evening.
"Is it just me, or does this feel like the setup for a boss fight?" Trell says while looking up at the creepy building.
"It gives off Hamlet vibes. Thy douth hope Tis no vampires inside." Oliver responds while looking a bit pale.
"Vampires? They might suck blood, but they'll suck on my club." Reyna laughs while hitting her palm with her club.
"Nothing to worry about, Reyna will protect you." Trell says mockingly.
"If one bites you, then I'll beat it and the bite marks off." Reyna says to Oliver. A wide smile on her face made her feel more intimidating than the thought of vampires.
"Thy have too much energy. The harlet might beat me second handedly." Oliver says out loud as they all head up to the church's door.
"You're a Harlet. What's a Harlet?" Reyna asks sounding slightly confused.
The church's front door was twice the height of Trell, the group's tallest. It was wide enough to stroll a hummer through with ease.
In the middle of the brown door was a sign hanging on a nail by a thin looking rope. The small sign read, St. Charles is closed indefinitely.
Tension thickens in the air as everyone approaches the church's door. A cold chill was running down everyone's back.
As if their body was telling them they're about to do something dangerous.Everyone standing in front of the doors were too nervous to open them.
"What troubles ye Trell? Open the door." Oliver taunts, sounding scared.
" You sounded more like a pirate with that sentence. You're in a rush to go in? You open the door." Trell retorts, sounding scared as well.
"Thou wouldn't dare to intervene. T'was hasty to get here." Oliver responds. Reyna is standing with her arms crossed, and scoffs at the two. She walks up to the doors, and pushes them open.
"I don't feel like hearing you two bicker." Reyna says as she walks into the church. Oliver tries pulling one of the front doors close to him, but couldn't make it budge.
"Was ye aware thy dame was so powerful?" Oliver asks Trell.
"New to me." Trell answers while following Reyna inside. Oliver stood to gawk at Reyna's strength, before heading in as well.
The vestibule was empty, but still fancy. Only things in the room were a giant crystal chandelier, two desks placed on opposite sides from each other, and plants with bibles on the desks as well.
At first glance, it seems like a regular church. It was huge, and the vestibule was more than appealing. More stained windows were on the back wall facing the entrance.
The window lined up from left to right. All the windows were also red, blue, and green. The middle dyed window was the only one with a picture. It was a depiction of Mother Mary holding a baby Jesus.
"This is a really nice church. I wonder why the people abandoned it?" Trell says out loud.
"What makes thou think it was abandoned?" Oliver asks him.
"I don't know. It couldn't have been the sign at the front door, or the dust flying in the air. I guess it's just a hunch." Trell answers sarcastically.
"Tis a fair point." Oliver admits.
"Let's split up and look around. If anyone sees anything suspicious, then yell." Trell tells everyone.
"A split up in a group t'was splitten up already. Definitely not preparation for a horror scene." Oliver comments.
"Don't be cowardly, grow a spine." Reyna laughs while slapping Oliver on the back.
"How about a bet? If this ends up being a scene that belongs in a horror movie, then I'll buy us some pizza."Trell wagers.
"Thou prefer thy buy a priest instead. Thou can exercise any demons that might be loitering around." Oliver responds, still sounding scared.
"It's a church. Demons won't be able to enter, no matter what happened here." Trell explains to him.
"How do thou know that?" Oliver asks curiously.
"In order to avenge The Guardians, I have to know my enemy. So I studied up on the species." Trell tells them. Everyone was silent for a second. Taking in what Trell just said about avenging his group.
"That's foolery! No way thou can defeat a demon." Oliver yells, breaking the silence. Trell was also quiet for a second. Thinking on Oliver's response,
"I know. I stand no chance against a demon now, but I will get stronger. Strong enough to avenge my old team, and protect my new one." Trell says to Oliver. Trell's face was serious enough to make Oliver nervous.
"As long as you fight beside me, then I'll fight beside you." Reyna responds to Trell's speech. After thinking about what Trell said, Oliver also began to straighten up.
"Thy will also fight alongside thou." Oliver says to Trell. Causing Trell to genuinely smile from his teammates' response.
"SInce we're all buddy-buddy right now. Oliver, why do you constantly try to speak Shakesperian? Half the time, I don't even think you're saying things right. No offense, but I got to know." Trell asks curiously.
"I find it amusing." Reyna adds in.
"Do thou really want to know?" Oliver asks them.
"Yeah." Trell and Reyna respond at the same time.
"To keep a promise." Oliver tells them.
"What promise?" Reyna asks.
"T'is for thy to know, and thou to find out." Oliver says.
"You could at least work on being more accurate." Trell says.
"Thy will." Oliver assures him.
"Ok, y'all ready? We all take our own door." Trell yells out to the squad. In an attempt to plan out the split up.
"Thy forgot about that." Oliver cries to himself. Accepting the plan, since Trell and Reyna won't drop the idea.
Excluding the front door, the church's vestibule had three doorways. One on the left wall, one on the right wall, and a shut door up the stairs.
Oliver took the path on the right, Reyna went left, and leaving Trell with the door up the stairs.
Trell watched Oliver and Reyna take their respective pathways before going up stairs himself. He was expecting to open the door and see the church's sanctuary. The area everyone sits to worship and listen to the service. However, he opened the door to see something different.
Trell takes a deep breath as he grabs the door handle, and exhale as he slowly opens the door. He saw a giant room, with a stage in the back, three throne-style chairs on the stage, and two small rectangular windows behind the chairs. A little sunlight was shining through the windows.
"Hey guys, I see something weird." Trell shouts to Reyna and Oliver. In front of the chairs was a floating dark cube, with white lights zapping around it like zip zaps.
The cube was stationary, with the only thing moving is the light acting like electricity. Sparking from the mysterious cube, and around it.
Reyna and Oliver race to Trell's location, with Reyna arriving first. As soon as they saw Trell's door, they could see the cube. Sitting in a big dark empty room, with sunlight shining through a window behind it.
"What t'is this contraption?" Oliver asks, staring at the cube.
"I don't know, but it looks cool." Reyna answers.
"I was hoping one of you would know." Trell says to them. Zzz, crackle, crackle, more light began zapping from the cube.
"T'is magical." Oliver states, examining the cube.
"Yeah, but what does it do?" Trell asks.
"I bet it has something to do with the aggressive creatures attacking." Reyna theorizes.
"Making the creatures more aggressive." Oliver adds in.
"Makes sense." Trell agrees.
"Any of you magic experts have a guess on how to stop this?" Reyna asks Oliver and Trell.
"T'is a construct. A good hard wacking should suffice." Oliver tells her.
"So, I just got to hit it really hard?" Reyna asks. Oliver nods his head, assuring she had the right idea.
"Wait, would it release the control over the creatures?" Trell ponders.
"The energy spewing from the cube t'is the source of thy construct's ability." Oliver tells him.
"English." Trell says, sounding impatient.
"Yes." Oliver responds.
"Okay. To break the spell, then we must break the cube."Trell summarizes.
"Let me handle this. I like breaking stuff." Reyna says. She begins sprinting towards the dark cube full throttle. Pulling her club out the back of her shirt.
Hyaaa. Reyna shouts as she jumps towards the magical item. Zwip. Light struck from the cube, sending Reyna flying before she could actually hit the cube. Knocking Reyna back into a wall.
Reyna gets back up, and persistently continues to attack the cube. Trying different matters of attacks . She rushed it, tried to tackle it, punched at it, and kicked at it; but each of Reyna's attempts to destroy the cube failed. The light continuously knocked Reyna into a wall.
"Physical attacks aren't going to get the job done, you can only destroy a magical item with magic." Trell tells them as he pulls out his sword.
"You knew this and is just now telling me?" Reyna says frustrated from the lack of communication.
"You seemed pretty excited to try." Trell says defending himself. Lighting began crackling around Trell's blade as he lift the sword up to the ceiling. He slashes the sword downwards to point at the cube.
ZZZAAAPPPP!!!!! Lightning shot out of Trell's sword. The beam of electricity rushed towards the cube, but the cube's lightning was able to shield it.
"Hitting it doesn't work, and Trell's magic has no effect. How does thou go about destroying this?" Oliver asks out loud, pondering over his next move.
"That's the thing. You don't." A voice responds in an echo around the room. Everyone began looking around to find out who's talking.
"Did you guys hear that too?" Reyna asks them.
"T'was hoping thy mind was playing tricks." Oliver responds sounding scared.
"Who's there? Show yourself!" Trell demands while screaming aimlessly into the room. The voice didn't answer, but responds by laughing instead.
Mwahaha. Trell, Oliver, and Reyna all looks around the room, but there wasn't anyone laughing in sight.
"Screw you voice! I'm still going to smash that thing!" Reyna yells into the room, and begins charging at the cube again. She didn't have a chance to reach the cube, but not because of the defensive light.
Instead a dark portal appears in front of Reyna as she was running, causing her to stop in her tracks.
The portal was dark, but the magical properties made it bright enough to stand out in a pitch dark room. Coming out of the portal was a cloaked figure.
The cloak covers its head and body, not allowing anyone to get a good look at its body. All they could see from the cloak was that it was able to float. That is because the mysterious figure was floating right in front of them.
"Definitely a boss fight." Trell says to everyone while they were staring at the cloak figure.
"Who are you?" Trell shouts at the shadowy figure. Demanding an answer from it.
The figure laughs energetically, but creeply. The figure's laughing was giving off vibes that it wasn't taking Trell and them seriously.
"You don't need to worry about who I am. You only need to stop attacking my artwork." The figure tells them.
"Does your artwork have something to do with the behavior of these creatures?" Trell asks the cloak.
"Possibly. Who's to say?" The Cloak says in an oblivious tone. The cloak was moving its body as if speaking arrogantly.
"We have reason to believe your cube is the cause for the creatures' wild behavior. We ask you to shut it down, or we will ourselves!" Reyna yells at the cloak. She was irritated, but kept her voice firm.
"No, that can't happen. I don't know what, but it's part of a plan." The cloak figure tells them.
"What plan? Plans by whom?" Oliver asks the cloak.
"I don't know, and it doesn't really interest me to find out. What does take my fancy is your orc. How can it resist my spell and stay transformed?" The cloak asks them.
Everyone was quiet for a second, confused about who the cloak was referring to. No one among them was an orc. At least, not that anyone knew of the others.
"We don't know any orcs. Some monsters attacked us on the way here, but none of them were orcs either." Trell explains to the cloak.
"Imbecile, I mean why is your orc not possessed by the cube?" The cloak yells at them.
"Thy understand. Thou's hallucinating! No orc is among us." Oliver says, believing he figured out what The Cloak was talking about.
"Are you too stupid to know that you're working with a monster?" The Cloak asks rhetorically.
"A monster tis upon us? Where?" Oliver asks while nervously looking around.
"He's just playing mind games." Reyna says to calm down Oliver.
"You don't know what I am. I am too powerful to rely on petty deception." The Cloak argued.
"Why did thou try to trick us?" Oliver asks as if he was proving a point.
"Wait, you just admitted that the cube possesses creatures! That's why." Trell shouts back to Oliver. The Cloak suddenly laughs at Trell's statement.
"Mwaahaha! I suppose you all are too stupid. It matters not, cause you won't be able to stop me. It's my masterpiece. One of my best yet." The Cloak says and begins laughing again. This time it floats back into the dark portal, leaving only the cube in sight.
"I told you to shut it down! I'll do it myself!!" Reyna shouts, charging at the cube. Her path was blocked off by a dark hole that suddenly appeared in front of her. Engulfing Reyna's whole body into the hole, and vanishing in front of everyone's eyes.
"REYNA!!!" Oliver and Trell both yell after their comrade. They stood in shock after witnessing the black hole swallow Reyna. "I'm tired of y'all games." The Cloak says after Reyna disappeared.
"Funny, I was going to say the same thing. Give us back Reyna!" Trell yells demanding. A smile filled with yellow teeth showed on the cloak's face.
"If you insist. Be warned, we only have air delivery." The Cloak says.
BAM!! Crumble! Crumble! Trell and Oliver turn around to see Reyna has fell from the ceiling with small pieces of debri following her.
"Is thy okay?" Oliver asks Reyna as she begins to stand.
"Yes, just a bit of a headache." Reyna answers.
"Hahah. I would love to play with you all more. I got to wrap this up." The Cloak taunts unseen. Its dark and menacing voice echoing through out the room.
Unaffected by The Cloak's attempt to scare them, Reyna charges at the sphere again.
"Stop, it's pointless. We have to find another way." Trell yells, stopping Reyna in her tracks.
"Do you have any bright ideas?" Reyna asks him.
"Hey, Mr.Cloak! Your artwork is really cool! What elements did you use? I just gotta know." Trell yells into the room. Hoping it would stroke The Cloak's ego enough to talk.
"Flattery… gets you everywhere. If you must know; the cube itself is just metal, but the spell is the true piece of art. I was able to equip enhancers with a corruption sigil to boost the effects. Giving me a wider range than any other sigil spell before. Adding a self-defense spell for good measures, and it's the ultimate conjunction. Isn't it cool?" The Cloak explains to everyone in the room. It sounded genuinely excited to talk about its work.
"Oh, corruption magic? Isn't that a dark magic? You're so cool!" Trell asks, continuing to feed The Cloak's ego.
"Yes, it is. You're a nicely informed boy." The Cloak confirms.
"Trell, what are thou doing?" Oliver asks.
"It's corruption magic, meaning light can hurt it." Trell explains to Oliver and Reyna.
"We don't have any light wielders." Oliver adds.
"No, but we got the next best thing. My electricity!" Trell boasts.
"Electricity is not light." Reyna responds.
"No, but it glows. Any type of magic that has a form of illumination can effect dark magic as well, like electricity and fire." Trell explains to them.
"The dark light blocked thou last attack." Oliver told him.
"Just let me worry about that. You two keep him busy." Trell delegates.
"How do we do that?" Oliver asks.
"ATTACK!!" Reyna yells, changing her target to The Cloak.
"Like that." Trell says. Oliver rolled his eyes and began charging at The Cloak as well. Suddenly Oliver went flying back into a wall. Trell saw Oliver, and looked up to see Reyna missing again.
BAM! Reyna suddenly appears flung from one side of the room, crashing into Trell. They're both lying on the ground, when Trell looks up to the ceiling. On it was the most disturbing mural Trell has ever seen.
On the ceiling was a mural of the painting The Creation Of Adam. A masterpiece that includes the first human Adam reaching out to an angel.Instead of being made from paint, someone created a depiction out of bones.
"Oh great, as if this couldn't get creepier." Trell muttered to himself while looking at the unsettling mural on the ceiling. He gets up off the ground.
"Trell! Watch thy back!" Oliver shouts. Trell looks up to see an attack heading his way. It was the size of a boulder, covered in shadows acting like flames, and charging his way at an incredible speed.
If it wasn't for Oliver's warning, Trell wouldn't have been able to dodge the attack. Swiftly jumping out of the way. BAM!! The attack collided with one of the thrones, and destroyed it on impact.
Pew, pew, pew!! Oliver shot out three glowing scrolls that were able to hit the dark cube simultaneously.
Even though they were scrolls, Oliver's magic gave them golden aura to glow around. Allowing the small magical scrolls to deal chip damage, as darkness would fall off the cube like crumbs.
"Little, but effective." Oliver says. KADAM! Right before getting struck by another attack.
This time The Cloak was out in the open. All that was showing from The Cloak were its eyes, and they looked furious. The eyes of a predator striking out the shadows, as it pounces on its prey.
"Insolent fool. No one hurts my baby and gets away with it." The Cloak says angryly.
"Thy thought it t'was art." Oliver says, sounding injured from The Cloak's attack. He wasn't in good shape. Oliver's body was in so much pain, but he was smiling. Happy that he was able to do little damage
"To an artist, all creations are their babies." The Cloak tells Oliver. Crackle, Boom! Trell took advantage of The Cloak's distraction to send two lightning bolts at the cube, enraging The Cloak more.
The cloak summons another boulder size attack, KAPOW! A cloud of smoke burst in the air, and Reyna is seen falling out the smoke. Hitting The Cloak on the head in the process.
Dwip! Reyna was hit by a shadow in the shape of a tentacle. POOF! A cloud of dust was left in her place.
"Reyna!!" Trell shouts out.
"You didn't call my name like that." Oliver says.
"Calm down, I'm right here." Reyna says, suddenly standing next to Oliver.
"Okay, this might be more fun than I thought." The Cloak says as it begins to smile. It was unsettling to say the least. Its mouth looks big enough to be from one ear to the other.
The teeth were sharp like razors, and more yellow than the crayola crayons of the same color.
"Wait, thou's a freaky strong ninja?" Oliver had to ask Reyna real quick.
"That sums it up." Reyna answers, nervously smiling.
"That's so cool!" Trell adds in.
"STOP IGNORING ME!!!" The Cloak demands as it yells, summoning three giant attacks.
All of them were three times the size of the previous attacks. Big enough to touch the room's ceiling and floor. What the attack gains in size, loses in speed. Moving three times slower than before.
"These attacks won't slow us down." Reyna yells as she dashes towards The Cloak, faster than she moved all day. Once she was faced with a giant dark ball, Reyna attempted to jump over the slow attack. Poof. Reyna disappears into a cloud of smoke again.
"Foolish creature, you can't evade my attacks." The Cloak says out loud. Mocking Reyna's efforts.
"No one's trying to." Reyna says, charging from out of the shadows behind The Cloak. Holding her club up high with one hand, and ready to swing at it.
The Cloak didn't show Reyna any attention, ZWAM! A light shot from the dark cube, and hits Reyna. Sending her in front of the original attack, that was still making its way to her original location.
"Crap, back to square one." Reyna says in frustration. Now feeling doomed, as the attacks are almost ready to collide into them.
SWOOSH! A scroll with a blue aura dashed to Reyna. WRAP ! It glowed a bright sky blue as it transform into a bubble. Wrapping and shielding Reyna from the massive attack.
SWOOSH! SWASH! WRAP! WRAPPER! KA-KA-BLOOWIE! Two more scroll bubbles wrap themselves around Trell and Oliver, allowing them to tank their attacks as well.
"Thank you Oliver, but do me a favor." Trell says.
"What doesth thou reqiure?" Oliver asks.
"Back up Reyna on attacking The Cloak. Those scrolls of yours can prove handy. I'm going to charge my attack to a point that item can't block it." Trell explains to him. Oliver knodded his head, showing that he understands the mission.
"Reyna, is thou ready for another round?" Oliver asks while shouting. Not even responding, Reyna smiled and charged again. Oliver summons an open scroll, draws a flashlight symbol, closes the scroll, and sends it off to Reyna's club.
GLO-OSH! Reyna smiled as she realized her club now has a faint gold aura to glowing around it. BABOW! Allowing her to run up and effectively hit The Cloak in it's arm. Sending it crashing into the ground.
"Hah, how you like the taste of your own medicine?" Reyna asks, laughing at her successful hit.
"Not bad, have another dose." The Cloak says back. KRSH! KROSH! Two lanes of rocks rose up from the floor, grabbing each of Reyna's feet. It held her upside down in the air, as if trying to tare her in half.
"Ahhh!" Reyna screams out a horrifying tell of pain.
"Hit them with thou's club as it glows!" Oliver yelled out. Reyna heard him and understood the message. BAM! She hits one rocky lane with her club, and it breaks.
As the other one continues to hold her upside down by her other foot, BAM! She hits the second rocky lane. Releasing Reyna and allowing her to land on one foot and one knee.
Trell stands a few feet away from the cube as Reyna and Oliver is battling The Cloak. He is concentrating on his blade as he holds it up to his face. Electricity cloaks the entire blade, as Trell sets his sights on the corrupted device.
"Energetic Larrow!" Trell shouts as he points his sword at the cube. Sending out a giant electric blast that took shape of a giant arrow.
As the attack rushes towards its target, a dark light barely manages to cover the cube in time. KABOW! Acting as a shield from Trell's special attack.
When Trell's move connected with the shield, there was an explosion that blinded everyone around. Trell, Oliver, and Reyna rapidly blinked their eyes to fight off the blinding effect.
They were all staring in the direction of the cube so they can instantly see if it was destroyed. As their vision came back,
"Hahah, nice try human. I specifically fed my spell sunlight to build an immunity against its weakness. You'll need something alot stronger than that to destroy my construct!" The Cloak taunted, as our group gasped to see the cube still floating.
Zap! Zomp! Zippos! Trell desperately threw three more lightning bolts at the dark cube. Each bolt bigger than the last, but none left a lasting mark.
"Maybe killing the creator will stop the spell." Reyna says to them. Trell, Reyna, and Oliver looks at each other and smiles. As if all three of them got the same idea at the same time. They then turn their sights to The Cloak.
"You bugs think jumping me will work? Go ahead and try." The Cloak says to them all. Unaffected by the threat of fighting three foes at once. It looked as if it was enjoying the thought of going against our heroes.
"I thought you never ask!" Trell and Reyna says in sync.
"Thou is about to go down." Oliver says, as he summons two scrolls. They were both double the size Oliver normally summons. SWOOSH! SWISH! Neither of them wasted any time attacking.
The Cloak flicked its finger twice. DWISH! DWOOSH! Two small waves of dark magic collides with each scroll. DWAM! Both spells cancelled each other out. Leaving a small cloud of dark smoke with a golden aura around it.
Suddenly, a sword slashes the cloud of smoke in half. Trell dashes through the opening, swinging his sword at The Cloak. SLASH! Cutting the ominous figure in the chest area.
A hole opens up on the floor beneath The Cloak's current position. As The Cloak is suffering from Trell's sword, BAM! Reyna comes flying up out the hole, upper cutting the figure straight under the chin. Sending The Cloak back a few feet.
"I did some thinking, and this jumping isn't fair!" The Cloak yells out, sounding agitated.
"You was all smug a minute ago. Take a few hits and your will is shaking?" Trell asks, taunting The Cloak.
"Thou tis not about standing on business the way thou t'was portraying." Oliver said, adding to the mockery.
"Guess it's just a cry baby." Reyna scoffs at it.
"Don't get the wrong idea. You lot are stronger than expected. I'm just going to even up the odds." The Cloak explains. Suddenly a dark portal opens behind it, and two frightening figures flew out.
They stood on four legs like a tiger, had the body of a muscular man, and horns like a bull. Their eyes were like mountain lions staring at a rival, ready to attack.
"What are those things?" Trell asks.
"These are Predator Minatours. Like Minatours, but smarter and more aggressive. They should even up the playing field." The Cloak answers arrogantly. It was confident that the group of heroes were done for.
The Predator Minatours stares at Trell, Reyna, and Oliver. They hopped out the portal knowing who their targets were. One of them was holding a long wooden spear, and the other was holding a shotgun.
"Since when doth savagery useth weapons liketh guns?" Oliver asks, wondering if that was the right way to word his sentence.
"We smart!" Minatour A, one with the gun, yells in a tone that feels personal. As if it heard and understood Oliver's statement.
"Sure big guy, but are you tough?" Reyna asks, continuing to provoke the beast.
"Tribe beat Kokala, and me chief." Minatour B, predator with a spear, says as if proving his strength.
"You shouldn't go around bragging about beating up a koala. People and creatures love them." Trell sounds a bit offended.
"Are you a fan of koalas Trell?" Reyna asks while laughing.
"Yes!" Trell screams passionately.
"He's not talking about koalas. He speak of Kokala, a legendary beast known to pillage through city and tribes alike. It's like a dragon, bull, and crocodile combined in one." Reyna explains to them.
"T'is terrifying." Oliver voice was shaky after hearing what Reyna had to say.
"How do we beat them?" Trell asks spooked.
"If you guys slayed it, then y'all would be too strong for this thingy to have a spell over you." Reyna shouts back to the Predator Minatours.
"Thingy? It's a magical construction capable of controlling any monster in a hundred miles radius. Show some respect you uneducated swine. Kill them!" The Cloak snaps at Reyna. The two frightening monsters charged at Reyna and the others.
"They were bluffing to get into our heads. Don't falter!" Reyna yells as she races towards the beasts. Fwoosh! Minatour B threw its spear at Reyna with such precision and strength.
Fwesh! The spear pinned her feet to the ground by going through her ankle.
"Why is it always me? Why can't you poke the poet?" Reyna says frustrated from receiving another injury.
"Thou surely doth not meaneth to throw thy underneath the wagon." Oliver says sounding slightly offended by the remark. Minatour B ignores Oliver and Reyna's argument as he snatches the spear out of Reyna's foot.
"Ahh!" Reyna screams in pain. The aggressive minatour gets ready to stab Reyna in the chest. Ding* Trell quickly parries the attack. Deflecting the spear away from Reyna.
Pow! Reyna wastes no time following up by smacking Minatour B in the face with her club. Sending him crashing to the ground on his back. The hit was so strong, Minotaur B was lying down knocked out.
Minatour A was aiming its weapon at Trell. BANG! A scroll block the barrel of the gun. When Minatour A pulled the trigger, it blew up in its face.
SLASHABAN!! Trell slashes the minatour, as Reyna smacked down on its head like a game of whack-a-mole. Finishing it off once and for all.
"I told you they were bluffing." Reyna says as she claps her hands with victory.
"That's it!" The Cloak shouts furiously. Dsh-ch-ch! It created a body from the shadows, with a cloak still covering its head.
The arms were covered with cement that shape like a gauntlet, and boots on its feet from the same material.
The Cloak instantly dashes to attack. Choosing Trell as its first victim, grabbing him by the face, DAPIE! Slamming him into the ground.
The impact was so powerful, it left a crater around Trell's body as blood spat out his mouth.
"Trell! Get your hands off of him!" Reyna yells as Oliver stood in the background. She rushes at him ready to attack, and Oliver sends off a scroll to enchant The Cloak's armor.
BAM! Bow! The Cloak punches the scroll into pixie dust, and grabs Reyna by her legs. Swiftly redirecting her to be thrown into a wall.
"Trell! Get Up! The scrolls can make thou acceptionaly stronger." Oliver yells as he summoned two scrolls. Enchanting one with a symbol of an arrow pointing up, and the other with a symbol of the arrow pointing down.
SWOOSH-SWOOSH! Shooting the two scrolls at Trell and The Cloak.
The scroll hits The Cloak first since it was closer. Agitating it enough to turn its cement gauntlets into giant sledgehammers.
Raising the weapons as it approaches Oliver inch by inch. Oliver is terrified while looking upon The Cloak like it's the grim reaper.
The second scroll makes it was to Trell. Imbuding itself into him, giving Trell the strength to rise again. With a sense of urgency, BAOING!
Trell rushes to intercept The Cloak's attack on Oliver. Catching its sledgehammers fist on the flat of Trell's sword. Saving Oliver, but cracking his sword in the process.
"Thou surely doth have my gratitude." Oliver says as he catches his breath.
"Oliver, do you mean to tell me you had the ability to increase and decrease people strength?" Trell asks as he holds off The Cloak.
"T'is one of many great benefits cometh with scroll magic." Oliver explains.
"You're just now telling us? That would've been useful in destroying the cube." Trell scolded Oliver.
"Thou seemed pretty excited to destroy the cube." Oliver says to defend himself.
"Hahah" BOW!, Reyna laughs as she drops from the ceiling. Making direct contact with The Cloak's arm. Breaking the sledgehammers into little micro pieces of gravel.
The Cloak quickly rises into the air, and summons three more giant dark boulder attacks.
"Gather around. Thy has an idea!" Oliver yells to Reyna and Trell. They quickly made their way to Oliver.
Trell, Reyna, and Oliver are all gathered together, staring at the attacks and discussing Oliver's plan.
"Anytime now." Trell shouts to Oliver.
"The timing has to be impeccable." Oliver tells him, as they watch the dark boulders get closer to them. The attacks are still getting closer, and closer, and closer until; KABLAM!!
All three of the attacks collided at once. Leaving only dark smoke to be seen.
MWA-HA-HA The Cloak laughs as it assumes everyone has perished. It stops laughing as the fog left behind begins to disband.
Revealing a golden barrier protecting our trio from the massive attack.
"Oliver, this is awesome!" Trell says, admiring the protective barrier.
"I take it back. Your magic is cool." Reyna says, also praising Oliver.
"T'is more." Oliver simply states, as three more golden scrolls appear. Oliver shoots the scrolls. One of them hitting the cube, another hitting The Cloak, and the last flying passed both of them.
"You little spec!" The Cloak yells, as it throws another dark attack. Zip, Zap! A bolt of lightning was able to intercept the attacks.
"Get ready everyone."Oliver yells. A golden glow began illuminating the floor below Trell, Reyna, and Oliver. The glow took the shape of a giant open scroll. Lifting the three off of the ground, and floating in air like a magical carpet.
"What now?" Trell asks.
"When I give thy the signal, hit down on the scroll as hard as thy can." Oliver instructs them.
"With pleasure." Reyna says grinning.
"You want to die while flying? Fine." The Cloak says as it begin an assault on the trio. The giant scroll flew them out of the way of danger.
Avoiding the dark boulders, shadow tentacles, and saw blades constructed from the shadows. Oliver,Reyna, and Trell held on to the scroll tightly, as all the attacks were barely missing. Until the scroll stops.
"NOW!!! HIT IT WITH EVERYTHING THY GOT!!!" Oliver yells to them. Trell began charging up his sword, as Reyna jumped into an attack. POOF, POW, ZZAAMM.
Reyna falls above the scroll, slamming her club into it as she lands. Trell stabs his electrically charged sword downward into the Scroll as well.
KABLAMOW!!! The combination of Reyna's and Trell's attack into Oliver's scroll, causes a giant golden lightning bolt to shoot from the bottom of the scroll.
The giant bolt of golden electricity strikes down directly onto the dark cube, crumble. The roof begins to collapse over the cursed object.
