The man smirked down at her. "Where's that fiery attitude now, hmm?"

Both Elise and the man froze, turning their heads towards window.

A figure stepped through the broken window.

His white hair gleamed, and a mask obscured his face.

The man's grin faltered for the first time.

"Who the fuck are you?" he spat, rising to his feet.

The masked figure tilted his head slightly, "You don't need to know my name."

Before the man could react, the figure moved.

The demon barely had time to register the attack before his head rolled to the floor, blood pooling around his now lifeless body.

Relief flooded her as she sat up, clutching the torn remnants of her clothes to her chest.

The masked man stood silently for a moment, his blade glinting in the dim light before he sheathed it.
