Quagmire glanced from side to side as he was overwhelmed by the many windows and the boatload of information that was being given to him. There were so many windows. Unfortunately, he did not know how to close them. However, something told him that he must command it to close. Thus, that's exactly what he did.

After commanding the windows through his thoughts, the windows started closing one by one, and the important information started to be sorted out.

Unfortunately, as he was digesting all the information, a sudden miracle started to befall him. His body started to shine light as his wounds began to close one by one. His once pale face was now once again filled with life, and the part of his arm where the flesh was torn out was now regenerating. His breathing started to stabilize, and surprisingly, he felt a warm feeling inside him.

The warm feeling he felt was the immunity from the world's disease. It meant that he was now completely immune from the disease, any infection from the virus, or whatever it was. Looking at his hands, he saw strands of black goo going out of the wound, as well as black streaks in his veins rescinding from his veins and out of his body.

Now, that meant no matter how many bites he received, they would be ineffective, and he would no longer have to fear the virus. He thought that, if the technology was right, he could use his immunity to develop a vaccine. However, that was just a thought toward the future or a faraway time, if it ever became possible.

A few minutes passed by as he looked over himself; he was still shocked by what was happening. He truly was living in another world. If this had happened in the past world, he would be treated as a witch and executed for heresy. Fortunately, he no longer had to abide by such a thing, as the constraints of the imperial republic did not reach this world, and he no longer had any loyalty toward it, unlike his past self, who was obsessed with its glory and fate.

Shortly after, the light from his body disappeared, and his once wounded and battered body, which had been bleeding over, was now healthy, complete with his immunity—except for the fact that he was still donning tattered and dirty clothes, and the fact that he was also filthy and now kind of smelled. The blood of the ghouls was still splattered all over his body, so the smell was nasty.

Nevertheless, he was all right now. So he stood up and looked over the entrance of the cave. He saw the bright morning sun starting to rise up. It was a thing of beauty, just like the daybreak of his past world. No matter what day it was, whatever the situation, one could not help but be fascinated and delighted by the beauty of the sun and the world itself.

While looking over the sunrise, he glanced to the side, where the sorted information was displayed. He first looked at the status window and saw many numbers and words. Confused, he checked the information on what those meant.

"There are a lot of ones and a few twos, such as perception and dexterity having the number twos, while the rest, such as agility and endurance, only have one; what does that mean?... I see that each point constitutes a single average person... Does that mean, if I had two in perception, I possess the perception of two people?... That seems about right, as confirmed by the information in the window panel," Quagmire, with a look of amazement, muttered to himself.

As he was satisfied with what he saw, he was then suddenly baffled as he glanced at a part of the panel.

"E-Emperor of Man?! W-What?" Quagmire, with a questioning look, muttered at the Adjutant System, but no reply came. It seemed like the system was not sentient and was only there to assist him. He felt that it was all right, as he did not feel comfortable having another being with him. In his mind, if this was only made to help him and was not really a living being or another person, then that was great.

Trying to ignore what he saw, he looked at the daily training mission area, and he saw the missions he could do every day. There he confirmed that it gave attributes and money. So that meant this was where he was able to give upgrades to his statuses.

"This is great, but every day, if I exercise for two hours, I only get to select one attribute to improve, and it is 0.01 percent? Then that would mean that if I did it for an entire year, I would only be able to achieve a little more than three points in improvement. Also, what is the use of gold or money?" Quagmire, with a questioning gaze, once again asked himself.

After that, he looked over the skills and its store, including his unique heritage.

"Humanity's Ineptitude... What?! It states that it is a restriction from the world as a foreigner being that was granted existence in this world. I am not allowed to use spiritual essence and magic? There is magic in this world?! What the hell does spiritual essence even mean?" Quagmire, with a contemplative look, muttered in disappointment.

Nevertheless, he continued reading.

"Veteran Marksman, now we're talking... I see it is due to this unique heritage that an extra point is given to perception and dexterity, making it into two. I guess I should be grateful for that. Also, there is a passive skill given, which was the Eagle's Eye. Apparently, it increases my focus whenever I am in a firefight or using a firearm. That's neat," Quagmire stated with a delighted look on his face, knowing that the goddess who gave him a second chance had not really abandoned him; he guessed he was really just overreacting.

There was still a lot to discover, so he moved out of the cave and looked for a place to rest and read without all the decaying corpses around him.
