John Glenn Quagmire, Major General of the Imperial Republic. He was commanded to defend the City Fortress of the Imperial Capital, the Vatican. Unfortunately, before he was able to mount a proper defense, a series of unfortunate events led to a sweeping enemy victory, with him disgraced and then summarily executed by the enemy forces.
With his last dying breath and battered self, he was filled with grief and regret because of his incompetence and the fact that he failed to save the lives of those under him. Eventually, he drifts into a long slumber in eternal darkness until a guiding light and a saving grace come to him.
At the same time, in the cursed world of Terra, where the dead roam and consume the living, a man belonging to a race that has never existed is put on trial by the world to determine his worth of existence as a foreigner, granted existence. Is he someone who would be washed down in the echoes of death and subpar? Or a person worthy of saving the world itself?

Greetings, everyone! I would like to encourage you to support my book and pardon my self-review. This book is heavily inspired by Warhammer 40k and Real Time Strategy games. So expect elements of RTS, such as building bases, training troops, harvesting resources, and a few implementations from city-building games, which also means that it would be a kingdom building. Diplomacy, warfare, and all of those would be present. To my past readers, I may have dropped my past works due to greed and lack of time, and I would like to humbly apologize for those actions. I have matured and would like to take the long way as an author. Despite these stains in my history, I am not forcing you, but if you could, please give me another chance. I will do my best to have a stable release schedule, but if I ever stop again, I will not mark it as complete and will not try or publish any of what I did in the past, such as those songs and all of those. I am ashamed of what I did and would like to hide in a hole, but I am an author, and the fire in my heart to share my ideas and works was never snuffed out. To my new and past readers, thank you for checking out this book, if you liked it please do leave a review, and if you have problems with it do leave out criticisms, but please do not leave a bad review without a proper criticism, as I would not learn from it, and would be unable to improve. Nevertheless, despite my stains in history, I hope you all give my book a chance or once again, and I hope that you all enjoy it as I enjoyed writing it. Once again, thank you to all![img=recommend]
I quite admire the fact that the MC was unwilling to compromise his ideals till the very end. It was also nice to see that the voice that spoke to him after his death didn't try to tell him off for sticking to his ideals and instead introduced a different outlook for him to consider. I believe this novel is going to be playing around with a lot of heavy concepts. The prologues foreshadow much of that behind the war scenes. I like the writing style. It suits the suspense that follows in such a story that will feature a lot of war settings, strategy and rigid characters who are out for blood, which brings to question if our MC will be compromised or if he will find room to grow within his own belief of integrity and honour in this next world. Great Piece author
I have not read it but.

I really liked this novel, and would like to demand more chapters from the author[img=disgusted][img=update]
This novel refreshes the isekai genre by making the protagonist a seasoned general rather than a typical underdog. His strategic mindset and experience add depth, making the story more engaging than usual trope-filled adventures. With strong world-building and a unique premise, it’s a must-read for isekai fans. Highly recommended!
An intriguing beginning! There is a powerful contrast between the two stories of Quagmire's tragic past and the Emperor's arrival on Terra. I'm interested in seeing how these plots connect. Overall it is an exciting beginning to what promises to be a great story! Good luck Author.
A pretty good story not gonna lie. Not gonna lie, it's your typical isekai story, except that the author decided to breath some fresh air into the genre. The MC isn't a failure or incompetent random dude, but a successful and intelligent person, making his journey interesting to read. The novel starts slowly and it starts picking up between chapters 9-11. I would definitely recommend you to give it a try till those chapters and then judge it if it's worth your time!
Right from the beginning, the setting sets the story apart from the usual tropes. It’s not a random loser who got reincarnated/transmigrated, but an actual general. This greatly affects MC’s choices, which often come from a place of experience and wisdom rather than impulse or irrational knowledge. Other than that, this is the first zombie/base-building webnovel that I’ve ever read, so it makes for a fresh read, especially since my usual zombie fictions are more realistic without golden fingers. Another thing I love is how the author can depict the scenes quite vividly. Conversations don’t seem forced, which in turn creates an enjoyable pacing. I personally hate when scenes and dialogues are half-baked; it really takes away my immersion. There are also some sci-fi elements here, but not too much that they burden the readers with overly specific details. All in all, it’s quite an enjoyable read. Thanks, author!
Good novel I recommend everyone give it a try. If you like military and isekai then book is for you! I liked the premise of it was amazing. It's not everyday u get a book like this
