The area was still dangerous to be in, after learning the hard way, Whiskey-Jack's strength and equipment weren't yet ready to deal with these creatures.
"Hunting party, I'll take a look at its effects when it's safe too" he decided that was enough for today and didn't want to risk another encounter. After returning, he had stuck to his routine he made for Muskrat.
"Do we have to do this today, I'm still sore from yesterday' Muskrat complained, kicking the ground in frustration.
Muskrat was twelve and liked to complain, it was just the process of growing, his young mind and body developing into that of a young man, causing his emotions to be undisciplined.
"We need to be consistent if you want to achieve results" he replied to his little brother, the two began arguing about the routine, but after a few minutes of back and forth, Whiskey-Jack won out with Muskrat reluctantly agreeing to train.
While he had time overseeing his little brother, Whiskey-Jack checked the new skill he had earned, after agreeing to work with the huge white wolf to eradicate the creatures from the forest.

"Maybe I can add the wolf to the hunting party" excited he didn't have to be the one to always finish of the creatures, after noticing his difficult with the skin walker.
"How's training going" Vix asked, having snuck up on the two, hoping to get some answers from Whiskey-Jack .
Startled Whiskey-Jack jumped back, not realizing Vix had made her way over to then, the action causing Vix to chuckle at his scared behaviour."
"Trainings going well… when he's not complaining" he chuckled nervously, a little embarrassed by being scared of Vix's friendly question, but he continued "I think in a few months he'll be ready to hunt"
"Great! Then we can all go together, instead of you sneaking off alone in the mornings" she said, her eyes staring deep, trying to catch his reaction.
"How did you know I left?" His face filled with a look of shock, "I was so quiet I didn't make a sound, I was certain no one had heard me leave the house" he thought to himself
"I wake up early too and noticed your equipment wasn't where you left it last night" Vix answering the questions he had for himself. "Besides, you've already tried that once, I knew you would try again" a soft smile on her face, pleased she had predicted his actions.
"Where do you head too? There really isn't much animals around anymore" Vix curious of Whiskey-Jack's actions
Whiskey-Jack's eyes glazed over as he looked off into the distance, he wondered whether to tell Vix the truth or lie, he looked at her smooth face, gentle smile, and eyes of an understanding person looking back at him.
Deciding it was safe to answer her, he let out the truth, "I have been hunting the dangerous creatures, hoping to use them to train…and I guess hoping the animals will return if they're all gone" he grinned at Vix and puffed his chest a little, thinking the comment would impress her.
"WHAT! You idiot you could get yourself killed" she shouted, her once patient eyes brimming with anger at how reckless Whiskey-Jack's actions had been.
She proceeded to give Whiskey-Jack an earful about the dangers and how what he was doing was idiotic, he could tell she cared but thought his eardrums would burst before she could finish.
Taking a few deep breathes, doing her best to calm down, Vix pressured him for another answer, "Don't tell me, are you planning on going tomorrow morning again?"
He stared at Vix, kind of nervous to even answer, he thought it was best to stay silent, he wasn't sure his eardrums could take another round of her loud lecturing.
Seeing his stubbornness to answer, Vix knew the answer, as she sighed in defeat, she left with her final words, "Fine but I'm coming with you."

He wanted to protest, but she quickly stormed off in anger back to the house, at the corner of his eye, he could see Muskrat in a push up position with a smug grin on his face.
"Tomorrow will be interesting"
