Peeking through the bushes Whiskey-Jack was struck with fear, his body reacting on instinct refused to move, and could feel a warm sensation trickle down his thighs.
"I thought it would have died by now without a body" His mind doing it's best to grasp the situation, the Rolling Head… it had found them.
In shock he couldn't move, as he saw the head had learned to group and sharpen it's hair into several points and used it to walk like a spider, piercing the ground and trees to pull itself forwards.
"It's heading for the house, should we warn the others" Tel asked, trying to shake Whiskey-Jack out of his current state.
Realizing the danger, Whiskey-Jack, slowly backed out of view, once he thought it was safe he took off back to the house, refusing to turn his head and make it back before the head could arrive.
"I need to get them as far away as possible" he thought not slowing down, Tel finding it hard to match his pace as it was filled with adrenaline.
Arriving at the house he burst through the door startling, everyone inside. "Everybody quickly pack what you need, we need to get out of here!" he shouted, his breathing heavy and pupils extremely dilated.
Vix stunned by his actions, "Take a few breathes, what happened?" she asked in a soothing voice, trying to calm him down enough to explain.
"The Rolling Head… it's on its way"
The others with looks of horror on their face, quickly went into action. Hurdling over furniture, grabbing all the essentials to survive for at least a month.
"How did it even find us" Midok asked confused, as he watched his home turned into mayhem at the mention of the head.
Creeping out from their room was his wife, "I told her" his wife looked at Midok, her eyes having gone completely black. His face shocked, not knowing how to react to the love of his life putting their family in danger.
Before Midok could comprehend the situation, she lunged at him, swinging wildly and taking him to the ground.
Not hesitating, having seen this before, Whiskey-Jack lifted his sword and drove it deep into Midok's wife's head, her movements coming to a complete
stop.
"Ugghhhh… my wife!!!" Midok cried loudly, unable to stop himself from crying while holding his wife's limp body closely.
"I'm sorry Midok, but she was possessed, she could've killed you" said Whiskey-Jack showing no remorse, he couldn't, not after his experience with his mother becoming the Rolling Head.
Stop himself and wiping his nose on his sleeve, he had a fire in his eye Whiskey-Jack never saw before, "I don't blame you boy, I blame that... thing coming for us" Midok replied through his clenched teeth, his muscles bulging with anger.
"I'm going to kill it once and for all" Midok shouted, grabbing his gear and dashed out of the house.
Not wanting Midok to risk his life, he decided he would go and bring him back, before leaving he turned to Vix and his little brother. "Vix take Muskrat and RUN" his final words as he disappeared out the door.
Tel had become loyal to Whiskey-Jack and followed closely behind without hesitation, ready to fight alongside him.
"I'm ready for you now"
