Surrounding Thor in the courtyard were, of course, Lady Sif from Asgard and the Warriors Three: the burly axe-wielder Volstagg, the self-proclaimed dashing swordsman Fandral, and the flail-wielding Hogun.
Hogun, with his distinctly Japanese features, was ironically nicknamed Jackie Chan, showcasing not only Westerners' stereotypical confusion about Asian appearances but also Uncle Chan's global fame.
To be fair, Uncle Chan may have had his controversies, but his contributions to the Chinese community remain undeniable.
These four, along with the scheming strategist Loki, formed Thor's core crew.
Now, with the treacherous strategist Loki attempting a coup, these loyal followers couldn't accept it. They doubted Loki's soft and cunning visage could lead Asgard to continued glory.
Thus, even at the cost of disobeying orders and being labeled traitors, they ventured to Midgard to find Thor. The journey had its challenges, but finding Thor would make it all worthwhile.
To their dismay, upon reuniting, they found Thor utterly defeated—ready to abandon his ancestral legacy and even drag his loyal companions into his resignation.
Volstagg immediately considered cracking Thor's skull with his axe to check if it was waterlogged.
At that moment, Su Ye walked in.
The four Asgardians instantly turned their fierce gazes toward Su Ye.
Clearly, their frustration at failing to persuade Thor had left them fuming, and Su Ye had just walked in as the perfect scapegoat.
"Having a meeting, are we?" Su Ye asked with a grin.
The four immediately tightened their grips on their weapons and turned to face him.
None of them, including Thor, who had been here for days, recognized Su Ye.
The only Asgardian who knew Su Ye was Loki, but he certainly wouldn't have shared any information about Su Ye with these four.
This led the four to mistakenly assume that Su Ye was just an ordinary Midgardian, no different from the weaklings they had easily defeated earlier.
The group exchanged glances, and the hot-headed Volstagg, the largest and most temperamental of them, stepped forward first.
"We've declared this place requisitioned. Do not disturb. Yet here you are barging in. Did I not make myself clear earlier?"
As he spoke, Volstagg stepped toward Su Ye, slowly raising his massive, one-and-a-half-meter-long double-headed axe.
"Now, immediately, leave this place. The farther, the better. Otherwise…"
Whoosh! The massive axe was raised overhead, and Volstagg gripped it with both hands, ready to bring it down.
Volstagg had used this attack to split countless enemy skulls, each tougher than the average Midgardian's.
However, Volstagg didn't intend to kill. As self-proclaimed protectors of Midgard, they had avoided lethal force against the agents earlier, and the same applied to Su Ye.
Not killing didn't mean he couldn't scare.
"Just wet your pants for me! I'm in a foul mood, so cheer me up!"
The axe came crashing down, aiming to stop just above Su Ye's head. Volstagg had even prepared lines like "trash," "scum," and "garbage."
But as he was about to slow the swing, his vision blurred. A figure had somehow appeared right in front of him, and then—bam!—a sharp pain shot through his chin.
Rising Dragon Fist!
Bang!
Volstagg was sent flying.
Su Ye didn't care what Volstagg had in mind. If someone dared to swing an axe at his head, they'd better be ready to take a hit in return.
Su Ye had noticed Volstagg's last-minute restraint, but that didn't stop him from striking back. At worst, he'd just avoid killing him.
The Rising Dragon Fist was one of Andy's moves. Unlike the Shoryuken in Street Fighter, this technique was a combo by design.
First, a punch launched the enemy into the air. Then, Su Ye spun midair, using the momentum to land two more punches, sending the enemy higher.
Finally, Su Ye utilized his immense core strength, arching his body midair like a drawn bow, and delivered a crushing punch straight down on Volstagg's head.
This final blow, resembling a powerful energy burst, slammed into Volstagg's face with tremendous force.
Boom!
Volstagg's massive body crashed to the ground in front of his companions, causing the earth to tremble slightly.
As Su Ye landed, he hooked his foot under the handle of the massive double-headed axe.
The axe spun in the air before crashing beside Volstagg, its blade embedding in the ground. The handle vibrated, emitting a low hum.
The remaining three of the group were stunned. Was there really a Midgardian this powerful? Stronger than an Asgardian warrior?
Volstagg was their powerhouse, yet he couldn't withstand even one move?
From afar, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents observing the scene quietly cheered. Regardless of S.H.I.E.L.D., Red Shield, or Hydra, in this moment, they were all rooting for Earth.
Sharon Carter's eyes lit up. She hadn't seen Su Ye's fight against Abomination up close, but now, watching him from this distance, she realized how incredibly cool her boss was!
Cooler than Director Fury, cooler than Agent Coulson—no, cooler than all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s agents combined!
On a nearby dark rooftop, Hawkeye Clint Barton and Black Widow Natasha Romanoff stood side by side, their eyes filled with admiration and even a hint of envy.
"That guy's a martial artist?" Black Widow suddenly asked.
Hawkeye nodded. "Yes, he's the owner of the Shiranui Dojo. A powerful martial artist. Last time, he detected me from dozens of meters away and used a ki blast to send me flying!"
Hearing this, Black Widow's expression turned serious. "That's the guy Fury mentioned—the one who wants to establish the Red Shield Division, right?"
Hawkeye nodded again without speaking.
A shared thought arose in both of their minds: Does this Red Shield Division teach ki techniques? If so…
In the courtyard, Su Ye shrugged. "I could explain that my earlier actions were in self-defense, but I doubt you'd listen. So let's keep it simple: will you fight me one at a time, or all together?"
The remaining three of the group exchanged glances but said nothing. Instead, they wordlessly formed a triangular formation, with Sif taking the lead, shield and sword in hand, while the two men took positions behind her.
Perhaps Volstagg had been careless, but Su Ye's relaxed demeanor convinced the trio that this wasn't the time for knightly one-on-one duels. Winning was all that mattered, so they'd fight together.
Looking at Sif's face, Su Ye sighed. "Honestly, I don't enjoy fighting women fully clothed, and you're not exactly my type. But if you insist, I won't hold back."
"But I'll warn you now—my speed's no joke. If you don't feel engaged or find this fun, don't blame me for not putting in effort!"
The trio ignored Su Ye's cryptic remarks. With a loud battle cry, Sif led the charge, and Fandral and Hogun followed close behind.
To Earthlings, Asgardians were incredibly strong. Their bodies could withstand bullets from pistols and rifles, rendering firearms useless, and their rich experience with melee weapons allowed them to crush Earth's agents in close combat.
But against Su Ye, their physical advantages and melee combat experience were ineffective. His physical strength was superior, and his close-combat skills were even more refined.
The trio quickly realized this. Even with all three attacking at once, Su Ye maintained a calm expression and a faint smile, consistently predicting their moves and countering or evading with ease.
Even Thor couldn't do that.
As the battle went on, they realized that even if Volstagg hadn't been careless, he wouldn't have fared any better against Su Ye. At best, he'd have lasted a little longer.
The four of them were fairly evenly matched in skill, but since Su Ye could handle three of them with ease, defeating just one was obviously no problem.
Contrary to what he had said, Su Ye didn't quickly knock the three down. It wasn't because he couldn't, but because he suddenly changed his mind.
Up until now, Su Ye had learned many abilities, but upon reflection, he realized he hadn't formally studied close combat with melee weapons.
He had planned to find a place to learn sword techniques and then use shadow clones to impersonate a master swordsman. But now, with Asgardians delivering themselves to his doorstep, Su Ye decided to learn from them instead.
Both Fandral and Sif wielded swords. While their techniques weren't flashy, they were honed over thousands of years and rich in combat experience—there was much to learn.
With Spider-Man's enhanced vision, Su Ye could observe their every subtle movement in detail. As a martial artist, he could easily deduce the purpose behind each action.
In this way, it wouldn't take him long to thoroughly study and understand Fandral and Sif's swordsmanship.
Afterward, he could refine and summarize what he'd learned, practice a bit, and be battle-ready in no time.
In less than half a minute of fighting, Hogun, who didn't use sword techniques, was kicked in the face by Su Ye and sent flying. No one would compare him to Jackie Chan anymore.
Fandral and Sif suddenly found that without Hogun holding them back, they fought more fluidly. Both even shared the same unspoken thought:
"We can turn this around!"
But as always, the idea of a comeback was nothing more than an illusion.
Less than two minutes after Hogun was sent flying, Fandral had his sword snatched away and was kicked in the face, following Hogun's path.
Left alone, Sif fought Su Ye for another minute before her sword and shield were knocked away. A sharp blade was then pressed against her throat.
On the other end of the blade, Su Ye gripped the hilt with a smile that could make anyone uncomfortable.
"So, my lady, have you felt joy?"
