Metamorphosis.

Collen's mother dropped her knife and rushed to the back-door as soon as she heard the sirens but the officers caught upto her and detained her for attempt to murder but she was released with in a day as there was no sufficient evidence and was marked as an unsubstantiated claim. Ella couldn't understand why the police had realised her but Ella had a strong resolution to protect Collen, so she snooped around for any information about Collen's father and got in touch with him. They agreed to have a clandistine meeting to have a further discussion in a run-down restaurant. Ella asked him as to why he left his son and wife, and why his wife was harming her own son. Collen's father asserted that he was quite against the idea of Collen's custody to his wife after their divorce because she was becoming abnormally obsessed about Collen's, which was terrifying but he (Collen's father) was framed of harming his own son. The court declared that he should never contact his wife or son, he tried his best to prove himself not-guilty but then he gave up because some people broke into his house with guns and warned to hurt his son if he didn't stop. Ella expressed that she wanted to protect Collen and requested him for his approval to file a case against Collen's mother and asked for his help. He agreed as he didn't want to loose his son life his wife. The case went on for 6 months and at last Collen's father got the custody of Collen's. Ella was quite puzzled as to why she felt like someone was backing Collen's mother against her charges as well as for the custody. But she didn't give it much time and went on her journey to find another drug edict named Luke. It took her and entire month to find him because they moved to another city but all she found out was that he took his own life after a week right after his rescue. Ella, before meeting the next victim, decided to have a check on Collen. Collen had slowly started to talk and wrote a letter once in a while to Ella. Collen gave Ella a soft smile as he opened the door for her. She met with his father and had a brief chat, then she went to Collen to bid her farewell. She asked him whether he was facing any trouble and what he thought of his father, she looked at her and said " I thought love was something painful.... but it's warm." Ella was happy to see his weary soul is finding it's own strength and growing.
