Rachel POV
1415 was one of the nicest restaurants in Lagos. Aderemi got back from practice to ask me out on a date. He told me he'd discovered a nice place where we could have dinner...I mean, he didn't exactly call it a date, but what would a nice dinner in a nice restaurant mean if not a date? I told myself as Aderemi walked beside me, down towards the entrance that this date meant nothing. Maybe he wanted a change from what Joy had been preparing. I convinced myself that this meant nothing to him
As we reached the entrance, Aderemi gallantly stepped forward, saying, "Here, I got it," and opened the door for me. If he had glanced at my face at that moment, he would have caught the flush of embarrassment rising to my cheeks.
His kindness was starting to unravel me. I had initially thought his nice demeanor was just a part of who he was, but now I wasn't so sure. Was it possible that I had fallen for his charms?
"Thanks," I muttered softly, trying to play it cool.
