I left Sophia to her call and went towards the building.
M just informed me that there was only four minutes left on the timer of the first bomb.
While we had been joking around and putting together the letter which I really intend to send. She’d been running calculations for how I was going to do this.
“Alright, fill me in, M,” I said, leaning against a wall. “If I can manipulate motion, shouldn’t I be able to stop time?”
She had done the calculations on this but I wanted the full scope. More than this building would be lost should I get this wrong.
M sighed, exactly like a frustrated teacher dealing with a particularly slow student.
I’d know.
“Technically, yes. Practically, it’s a nightmare. Stopping time isn’t like pressing pause on a movie. It’s more like… locking an entire system into a state of absolute zero motion.”
I frowned at that. “Okay. And?”
