Mr President in the Oval Office.

I had to hold back on the smug grin as I looked on at the shock expressed by the trio as I appeared on the Oval Office screen.

I needed to be professional about this.

First, I faced the white haired man seated behind the desk. “Mr. President, my apologies, but I felt this would hasten things and I do believe that we need to act fast before this opportunity escapes us,” I told him and got a reluctant nod in return. I faced the tall and sandy haired man sitting close to him beside Sophia. “Mr. Secretary, M will be providing extra confirmation of your communication’s security promptly.”

He nodded and then the screen divided. For me, on one side was the trio and the other side was real-time diagnostic data on the current status of communication security for both the Pentagon and the White House.

“With that done,” I said, “I’ll have M brief you all on the situation.”

M took the floor.
