Isabelle, however, didn't seem phased. "I'll take it." She reached into her purse and pulled out a checkbook. "Let's make this official."
Mrs. John's pulse quickened as Isabelle filled out the check with a large amount. "Thank you, Isabelle. You've made a very wise decision."
Catherine glanced between the two women, a mix of surprise and disbelief flooding her thoughts. Isabelle hadn't even hesitated. And yet, despite the money and the deal, Catherine couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to this transaction—something deeper.
As Isabelle signed the check, Mrs. John beamed, sealing the deal. "It's a pleasure doing business with you, Isabelle."
Isabelle gave a small smile in return. "The pleasure's mine. I will soon send some one to take them away. Hope it's alright I go to look around more?"
"Sure. Look as much as you want."
