Logan leaned back in his leather chair, the tension from the meeting still tightening his shoulders as the final board member exited the glass-walled conference room. The city skyline loomed beyond, casting the office in hues of gold and crimson. He exhaled slowly, running a hand through his dark hair as he reviewed the heated discussion about the recent competition debacle.

"The safety measures failed," one of the directors had stated bluntly. "The incident could've cost us everything."
