The Serpent's First Kill

I sent my remaining magic missiles at the fallen princess, hitting her straight. The magic exploded, causing her to be pushed away and hit the pillar. I appeared in front of her, my sword ready to pierce through her heart.

"That was a good fight, Ashe. Too bad this is the end. But since you have earned my respect, I will give you a quick death." I said. I lunged my blade at her, but instead of hitting her flesh, I hit something hard.

Suddenly, the whole world around me turned dark. In front of me, stands a very familiar foe that caused the Demon Realm to almost fall to its destruction.

The Ruler Of Darkness, Lady Serpentine.

After she raided Demon Realm, it took us one hundred years to kill her. In the end of the long fight, we were able to defeat her. We also sealed her in the outer darkness. I was there when we sealed her. So why…

"'H-how are you… What?" I stuttered in fear. Why is she here? Why is she protecting her?

Then my own blade pierced my heart, and I lost all my strength before Ashe.

But before my heart stopped, I replaced my Holy Core with Black Core, transforming into my true self.
