The Void Realm.
A space filled with darkness where no light could get in. The longer you stare at the dark, the darkness will stare back at you. This is a space of nothingness. A quiet space where you are either alive or dead. Anyone who steps inside this realm, their fate has been determined. In this blackness world, you are neither moving forward or backward. You are not looking up or down. You can breathe, but you can't feel the air. You can feel, but you have no body.
You are one with the void.
Also, this is a world where time does not exist.
Even though it's been a few seconds since we entered, for her, it felt like a hundred years have passed. She tried to move around, but her mind was messed up by the perception of this unknown darkness, that in her head she thought she was moving. In reality, she was still, her eyes wide and out of life. Oh, there was still life in there, but not that bright.
I laughed. At first, it was a silent laugh. Then, my laughter slowly echoed throughout the void, making her still body flinch.
"How does it feel to be in this world of nothingness?" I asked, slowly approaching her. "Do you love it?" She wanted to say something, but she could not mutter a single word out. "Welcome to my world, Nashia." I whispered to her ears, letting my tongue lick it so she could feel how close I was to her. Her body shivered as my tongue licked her ears up and down. "A world of pain." I added.
I flew back from her, staring at her wide eyes with a smirk on my face. "I won't kill you. Instead, I will torture you. After that…" I approached her again and cupped her face between my hands, pulling her head slowly to mine. "I'll set you free from this pain."
I laughed like a maniac. I could feel her struggling to escape, but no matter how strong she was, this is a world of nothingness. Where nothing exists at all. You are one with the void.
Suddenly, a crimson mana emitted around the realm.
"Don't underestimate me, you brat!" She roared and charged straight at me. Before she could reach me however, her body halted. She tried to move or unleashed a magic attack at me, but to no avail. "W-what have you done to me?" She asked in rage while doing her best to move from her spot.
I smirked. "This is my world, remember? And I can do whatever I want in this world."
So it has begun. A painful and slow torture that filled the space with her screams. Every wound I open, she heals them automatically, making her curse even her abilities. It's only been a few minutes since the torture began, but in her mind, years have passed by. A minute in this world felt like 5 years for her. After the short, or rather, long torture for her, her mind became absent. Her eyes lost their life, yet she was still alive.
"Please…" She begged. "Stop…"
"Give me a reason to stop." I asked.
"I'm… sorry…" She replied.
"For?"
"Killing… your mother…" Then I slapped her face as hard as I could, bringing a little spark of light into her eyes. I slapped it again, but this time on the other side of her cheeks. I kept slapping her back and forth until my palms bled and her face started to bleed as well.
"You think I could forgive you that easily?" I roared in anger as I released a powerful killing intent that made her sweat like bullets. "As if a simple 'sorry' could fix everything you all have done to my life!" I kicked her ribs, breaking them and making her vomit blood. "The people that I love are gone because of you!" Another kick sent her flying. "The citizens I cherished are now dead because of you!" I kicked her head this time. "My mother is gone! My best friend is gone! And my aunt, who I thought was a monster but not, is now gone!' I punched her guts, making her vomit more of whatever is inside her stomach.
"And sorry was all I could get?" Rage overcame me, but I calmed myself down or else I would kill her easily, leaving me unsatisfied. "I thought all of you were my aunties… I thought of all of you as my family! But that was a mistake." I summoned a sword and swung it at her still body, creating a gaping cut everywhere at her skin. What used to be a tough flesh has now become weak due to how much mana she had lost.
Nashia was breathing harder. Her face was twisted in pain as her mana could no longer heal her wounds. As a good person, I healed it for her so I could torture her more.
When her wounds have healed up and life returned once more into her eyes, I began my torture again. The torture slowly became boring that I no longer had fun inflicting pain at her. She no longer was screaming and not flinching to every attack I made. It became boring after.
"I thought you were gonna kill me? Look at you. Dead but still alive. Are all of you all talks?" I mocked. Nashia was still alive, but ever since she came into the Void Realm, she has given up her mentality to live. What was used to be a cocky and strong opponent has been reduced to a weak and small person in front of me, waiting for death to come.
I sighed. "Why do you want the throne so bad?" I finally asked after calming myself down and got to rearrange my mind.
Nashia looked at me. Her eyes have little life in them yet her hatred seemed to be burning passionately. "Why… you ask?" She thought carefully about her words and a smirk appeared on her face. "Because-"
Before she could speak, a mock sword of her Soul Destroying Sword pierced her soul as well as her core, killing her before she could even say whatever sentence she was about to say. I did this for her sake, or else I would've kept going with this torture no matter how boring it gets.
After a grueling and long journey, I am finally freed from this hatred. The flames that lit my candle were gone. Now, all I feel is emptiness and loneliness.
I have finished the journey, but in exchange for what?
Hatred is a strong drug that pushes you pushed forward for vengeance. But the moment that vengeance is done, the hatred disappears. The people that I lost could never be returned. In the end, what's left for me is death.
I let the Void Realm active, floating mindlessly with no care for the world. I'm done, but what's next?
Suddenly, a bright light blinded me. The darkness turned into light. I closed my eyes so that I won't get blinded by the light. Then I slowly opened them to face the brightness before me.
What was once a dark world has now become a familiar place that I have been longing for. A place that I thought I would never see again.
I was standing in the middle of a grassy field. The wind blew strong, causing the leaves and grass to dance along with the wind. I turned around and that's where I saw it.
The beautiful front gate of Borne.
