A Mother's Guidance

Two days had passed since Delphinia and Evander announced their pregnancy, and life at the Walton mansion had settled into a peaceful rhythm. The morning sun bathed the backyard in a golden glow, a gentle breeze rustling through the neatly trimmed hedges. The scent of fresh flowers and the faint aroma of brewed tea filled the air as Delphinia sat across from Elaine, Evander's mother, at the wrought-iron table set under a large white parasol. The porcelain teapot between them gleamed in the light, wisps of steam curling from the cups they held.

Elaine took a slow sip of her tea, her eyes soft as she looked at Delphinia. "I hope you don't mind me coming over like this. Evander insisted I visit frequently now that you're expecting."

Delphinia chuckled, cradling her warm cup between her hands. "Of course not. I appreciate it, actually. I don't really have anyone to ask about these things."
