The atmosphere in the living room remained lively, filled with laughter and playful banter. Evander's friends, still caught up in their excitement of reuniting, turned their attention toward Delphinia.
"Come on, Delphinia," Wilson grinned, holding up a shot glass. "You have to drink at least one with us. It's a celebration, after all."
Luca nodded eagerly. "Yeah, Evander's finally a married man. That's worth drinking to."
Delphinia let out a soft chuckle, shaking her head. "I can't drink."
Oh, but she really could use one.
Evander, who had been lounging beside her, his arm draped possessively around her waist, smirked. "She can, but she won't. At least not for now."
Luca raised a brow. "Why not?"
Evander leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees before flashing a triumphant smile. "Because she's pregnant."
