BloodBath

Cain was barely able to get a few minutes of sleep before he simply settled for lying awake as he stumbled out of bed, settling instead into the chair by the window as he stared out of it. It had only been about a month, yet he had completely forgotten just how strong the pain he had endured was as he realized how weak he was to it. His bones ached like they had been soaked and submerged into molten lava, and they were slowly melting.

Once or twice, he caught his eyes flashing red and couldn't help but wonder if it was the effects of not taking the red potion or the side effects of having taken it for so long. He had long realized that although the red potion helped him turn back to human instead of suffering from the lack of sleep every night, it also made him feel very irrational during the day.
