"I spoke wrong! What I meant was that I would survive until then and even after then!" William calmly said, only to raise his gaze up and see that Fiona was staring intensely at him but didn't seem to be listening to the words coming out of his mouth.
Her chest heaving up and down as she stared at him with glazed eyes and a wounded expression on her face.
She didn't speak at first and simply stood there, and William, although weak, couldn't sit by and allow anything to disrupt his plans—including the main character.
"Fiona! I know my health better than anyone else!" he began. "…If you insist, we can go to the hospital tomorrow, and you can hear it from the doctor yourself!" he said, a frown slowly appearing on his face as he spoke, as he watched Fiona suddenly begin to move towards the side of his table.
