Training at the Arena

"Yeah , it's void skills ."

"Do you remember lucas reeves , that lord level beast master who battled to avenge the fallen san diego base . The thunder attack he used back then to end the battle was a void skill." armin explained .

"Only beast masters who reaches the mid realm (level 4-6) are able to learn void skills . In our society , vast majority of the beast masters are at lower realm (level 1-3) . In this dangerous world if they want to survive well they have to learn some fighting skills . "

"But why ? we have our beasts to fight , don't we ?" Aaron asked his doubt interrupting armin.

"Yeah , we do . But aaron , life isn't like a game where you can take turns to fight . When we wander into the forbidden zones or face the fallen beast masters , they won't just stay by and fight the void beasts we sent .

Rather they will try to take out the beast master who is commanding from the side . That is how the fight between beast masters progress . So , under such circumstances it is an inevitable outcome to choose learning some fighting skills to defend themselves ." armin suddenly added few more words remembering something .

"Not to mention the fact that we , beast masters , themselves are evolving as we move up to each realm . Our strength , speed and other attributes increases dramatically to the point where we are capable of going head on fights with void beasts . So , why not ?"

aaron himself was speechless when facing his brother's question .

'Yeah , why not !' he thought .

While looking at the ongoing fight below armin spoke .

"aaron , how was today's meeting ?"

The sudden question startled aaron , he paused for a moment before answering .

"Oh , It went well . Just as I told you before I chose everdawn academy in london base . Not only is closer to us but it is also more research oriented up to my taste . "

"They promised to allocate sufficient resources to me and also agreed to provide a void beast with commander level bloodline , and the choice of attribute is up to me . "

"You mean you can choose a void beast cub with commander level bloodline with any of the four attributes that you possess !" armin asked in a slightly shocked tone .

Although he knew that they would provide enough benefits this was beyond his expectations . Everdawn academy is really generous he thought .

"well not all , the void beasts with time attribute are off limits . I can choose within the other three attributes . I plan to choose a space attribute beast . Afterall it is more rarer than fire attribute and spirit attribute ." aaron said .

"Mmm , that's a good idea . You can use the quota from the university to get a space attribute beast . At the same time I will get you a fire attribute beast through my connections ." armin said thoughtfully .

"Hey , armin.. you… that's not necessary . No need to waste extra money on me . I already have one now , don't I ?" aaron said as he tried to persuade armin .

"No compromise on this matter aaron . You have an extremely rare talent with an amazing potential . The more it is then the more we can't delay your progress in the early stage ."

"It's in your best interest if you can contract all four attribute beasts as fast as possible . The faster you contract the more your cultivation speed will be ."

"It's not possible for us to get a time attribute beast . spirit attribute is rarer but we can give it a try . Now the only ones available are space and fire , let's just cope with it for now."

armin said .

"mmm ." aaron nodded helplessly , agreeing to him .

He too knows about this matter but he tried to avoid it just because he didn't wanted to spend armin's saved money over it . Now that armin is showing such a determined attitude then he could only agree to it helplessly.

"By the way armin , when are we gonna buy one . let me remind you I'll be leaving for the academy three days from now . So if you plan to buy one we need to do it faster ."

"Three days , that's not a problem . If you are okay then we can go for shopping right now ." armin replied .

"Now ! no , we can't go now . I plan to visit the York city museum with prof. suarez this afternoon . How about we go after this trip ?" aaron asked .

"Mmm , ok . I've got no problem . The market is open even at night time . we can go there tonight after you finish your museum trip ."

hearing armin agreeing to his request aaron was visibly relieved . Although this time they plan to buy an flame type beast with commander level bloodline it isn't too much to ask for more right ?

It's better if he can get a void beast with legendary or mythical level hidden bloodline . This trip to the museum is necessary to achieve that goal .

The loud voice from the arena woke aaron from his thoughts .

The swift wind jaguar was knocked out of the arena by the violent bear . Seeing his contracted beast gets knocked out scott immediately stopped the sparring and dropped his sword on the ground admitting his defeat .

Ronald walked towards his void beast with a victorious smile inorder to check it's injuries .

"They are really heavy handed ." Aaron said seeing the deep wounds left on the bodies of the swift wind jaguar and the violent bear .

Armin responded with a smirk .

" You know , Scott is now at the peak of black iron realm . He is on the verge of getting promoted to bronze realm . For the last few days he had been fighting with everyone here to stimulate his void energy inorder to increase the efficiency of his cultivation for his breakthrough . "

"Normal sparring won't be of much help , whether it is for him or for us . So when we fight we tend to go all out . It is pretty common among beast masters . Wait … Don't tell me that you are scared ! "

"Scared , no way ! Why should I be scared ? I was just expressing my concern for them ." Aaron said quickly so as to avoid the misunderstanding and turned his attention back into the arena .

Under his watch he saw tara who was sitting on the front row stood up and walked over to the arena . He knew tara , she is the only member among the silver fang mercenaries who possess a healing attribute void beast . It is evident how important tara's role is for a job like the mercenaries which dances on the edge of death .

Aaron haven't had much contact with her before .Whenever he comes over for a visit tara is either on the mission or busy with her affairs.

He didn't cared much about her before but now that he awakened the AI chip he planned to do an analyse on her void beast .

With that thought in mind he took a close look on her void beast . It looked liked a white ball of fur as it stood on tara's shoulder . It was a snofido , a variant of poodle that was mutated because of the void energy .

After the dawn of dimensional cracks , a certain category of snow white poodle which looks like a fur ball evolved into snofido . No one knows whether it was due to the awakening of certain bloodline or because of a random mutation .

The result was that the group of evolved snofido managed to awaken the healing attribute . Most of the snofido only possess a bloodline potential up to a extraordinary realm but that doesn't lessen it's worth .

Now snofido is a hot commodity among the healing attribute beast masters . There are even certain breeding companies which are solely focusing on the breeding of the snofido .

Right when Tara walked over to the wounded void beasts the snofido jumped off her shoulder and under tara's command it started to heal the two injured void beasts .

A mellow green light that emitted from the snofido clearly divided into two streams of light and started to pour into the bodies of the two injured void beasts . As more and more light poured in the injuries started to faster visible to naked eye .

After a few more moments , tara's snofido finished healing the void beasts . Both of them stood up , looking completely rejuvenated and ready for another round if needed . On the contrary the snofido seemed tired as if it had been hollowed out . Tara carried the worn out snofido back to her seat .

"She is still at the black iron level , haven't got much energy to use healing continuously . It would be a great news for us if she advances to the bronze level . Atleast it would increase our chances of survival ." Armin said with a sigh as he got up from his seat .

"Uh , where are you going ?" Aaron asked in confusion .

"Where else but the arena , I'm the next in line for the bout . Huh , it's the troubles of being a bronze level beast master . " armin said in a boastful tone .

" Wait here , let me go and give that brat a beating . I'll be back in a jiffy ."

Saying that Armin walked over to the arena with ember by his side .
