It was tight but there were limitations because of the unfamiliarity of the turf. Ni was already in position at the back of the room by the time I set up my perch in the rafters. Ni had on a business suit, heavy make-up, and a burgundy colored, straight hair wig. She blended into the crowd looking like just another reporter. She had been able to secure and plant bugs at each position of the auditorium without much trouble only being looked at because of attraction not of any suspicion. I was able also to get a clean look out of my bird's eye at each diplomat in the room including her Majesty the Queen of England. I had the President of The United States in my crosshairs at one point. My trigger finger twitched as I was tempted to make "America Great Again" but that temptation faded. He would have his appointment with my gun. I had only had one target that evening. I had to be completely focused on that target for our plan to work.
"You thought about 'making America great again' didn't you?" came Ni's voice through the mic after both our escape routes and positions had been secured.
I smiled "You know me so well." She shook her head
"I don't blame you." She paused. Then the press conference started. A dignitary host which looked like to be from a middle eastern country started to speak.
"We are here today to discuss the future of our nations. The future of our world, stopping the deterioration of our climate and planet is at the forefront of our minds. Moving away from fossil fuels and towards more cleaner sources of energy is what we are here to discuss today with so many representatives of strong powerful nations present. Lets start by…"
"Are you ready?" I asked breaking her silence.
"Yes" Her eyes closed. She took a deep breath and moved. She was like a blur. The precision and accuracy of strikes covered the floor with bodies. The area pulsed and I felt a strange energy coming from CniDaria. She was in a dance as she dropped anyone in the reach of her arms as she steadily made her way towards the front. I could hardly believe it. It was a complete bloodbath. She took out every person with a maximum of two strikes. Before I knew it with an array of knife cuts and well placed blows to the body, the reporters, the diplomats, the ambassadors, and bodyguards to three Middle Eastern governments were dead. There was a delay in understanding what was happening by the attendees. There was no reaction and by the time there was actually a scream, The entire group of middle eastern government convoys had been murdered, including their presidents and prime ministers. The room was in complete shock. There was screaming in one ear and complete silence in the other. The Queen was gone, like I thought she would be. The President was still there, covered by secret service but still there. Ni had gotten up to the front covered in residual blood of her victims. I couldn't see her face, but I imagine their whole life was flashing before their eyes. Secret Service tried to shoot her down, but she dodged their shots with inhuman speed and agility. Another pulse of energy went off, I started to get worried about what that was, but my instincts told me to focus. The pulse felt familiar and if I missed my chance now worrying something I couldn't even start to explain I would regret it. She had relieved them of their guns as they panicked towards her trying to protect the President. She looked right at the President who was struck silent for once in his life in shock. "I did what you wanted." Her voice carried throughout the whole area. The English Prime Minister who was still present covered by his own secret service looked straight at the American. He knew nothing of this girl except for two things she didn't belong to his service and she spoke like a citizen of that idiots country. So the anger he had was palpable and absolute. "I'm creating the world that you wanted Mr. President. The new world where only good Christian folk can live and prosper from the oil rigs in the world" She was convincing as an oil crazed crusade killer. I was awed by her performance and impactful words, she almost had me forgetting why I was there and then that familiar voice of hers rang in my ear, mouth full and with her hand covering it. "Any day now Ty" She turned towards my vantage point, her eyes hidden by her burgundy wig and I shot my only target of the evening: My sister's chest. As the bullet struck her I packed up my gun got out of that area unnoticed by anyone.
My sister heart wasn't stopped for very long. She was dead long enough for the Prime Minister's men and the Secret Service to check her pulse and declare her dead. It was a clean shot, one entry wound and one exit wound, right in between organs. They didn't bother to check that though, everyone was more preoccupied with the Prime Minister and the President having a long-heated shouting match about her and her motives. There was such chaos that nobody bothered to look for the shooter, thinking one of the security details of the many nations present finally took her out. Which made my exit very simple. One thing was clear to the congregation around her. She was an American citizen on British soil with an invitation to a state dinner with the President's encouragements. (My personal touch of course.) So, it looked like this girl was acting on his orders and his behest. With his service trying to mop up all the bodies and stop all the blood flow coming from the many lifeless bodies (thankfully CniDaria didn't have to bleed out) the Prime Minister took little time to declare that this would cause a shit storm in the middle east and "War was now inevitable". Which forced the President of the United States to declare to the Prime Minister "We'll be ready for any storm that comes our way. I'll talk to Washington and there will be a plan of action." Music to my ears. Another sweet tune was when both the men of state decided to cover up the death of my sister's alias. As there was "no need to set the world into a panic". My sister had taken tetrodotoxin, a drug that is known to slow the heartbeat and put the body in a death like trance. All I had to do was hit her in the right place to make the shot look fatal but not be life threatening. She was taken to a local crematorium where I was able to plan to make a switch with her body. Luckily for me she woken up at this time. I arrived in front of her in scrubs, a face mask, and glasses to infiltrate the place. It wasn't too hard to accomplish, the guards were foreign and unfamiliar with this place. Having done my research, I took advantage of that.
She wasn't in the best mood when she greeted me and her voice was extremely weak. I started to remember that pulse I felt while she was moving around. She looked like a machine mowing down people. Then I remembered CniDaria saying something similar when she would see take really difficult shots or become really focused in a dire moment. Did she feel the same thing. In the moments she described to me previously I never felt any energy pulse. I was just in a one-track mind to complete any task I have in front of me. Maybe I was thinking too deep about this.
"You fucking shot me Ty. How do you expect me to feel?!" attitude burning through the body bag I had her in as I carried her over my shoulder and out of crematorium. Our mission had gone according to plan.
"Calm down we'll be able to rest soon on our flight out of here." I paused before I asked the question. "Say, Ni did you feel anything during your massacre?"
"I stopped feeling sympathy for the dead a long time ago, don't tell me your going soft on me, this was all your idea!" I rolled my eyes. I longed stopped feeling anything about the humans we killed after all the years. My parents were enough to erase that emotion.
"No, I mean did it feel any different today? You looked like an anime character as you moved across the room. I've never seen anyone move like that in real life let alone you." She didn't answer right away. There was a silence while she thought about it
"Things slowed down for me, it was easier for me to see than its ever been. Things sped back up when I started speaking. Its not the first time that has happened to me though." What she described was familiar, but I let it go. Understanding this phenomenon wasn't our focus right now.
An emergency meeting of the cabinet of the United States was taking place in three days in Washington D.C and from our intel every single cabinet member was going to be there in person.
