Looking for an apartment

Amelia woke up to the sound of light knocking from the housekeeping staff in the hallway. She blinked, feeling the soft morning sunlight streaming through the curtains. It took her a moment to remember where she was. The hotel. She sighed, sitting up and stretching her tired limbs. Her back ached from all the stress of the day before, but at least she had slept well.

She glanced at the clock on the nightstand. It was already 9 a.m. She needed to leave. There was no time to waste. She had to find a new apartment today, no matter what.

Amelia got out of bed and went to the bathroom to freshen up. She splashed water on her face and tied her hair into a loose bun. Digging through her suitcase, she found a simple outfit: a pair of jeans and a plain shirt. She dressed quickly, grabbed her things, and headed down to the hotel lobby to check out.
