Novak stood inside his personal warehouse—an isolated domain governed by the Cosmic Will. This place was the most private and secure location for any evolutionary, a treasure trove that no one else could access. If an evolutionary died, the contents would either be passed on according to the deceased's will or scattered across the universe as random rewards or tasks. However, as long as the owner lived, no one could access or inspect it, not even through the cosmic will.

Such was the law of the universe, a rule even GOD couldn't alter.

Of course, while the security of this space was unparalleled, opening it came at a high price. A thousand gold coins per use—something few could afford.

Among Novak's treasures lay a mysterious object: the '??' face. It was a coveted item, even Zogwort desired it. Despite its value, Novak had always been puzzled by it. Other than resembling a living human face, it showed no discernible function or power. He had nearly given up on it, assuming its secrets would reveal themselves eventually. What he hadn't anticipated was how soon that day would come.

As he opened the warehouse, Novak noticed something strange. The face—usually lifeless—now moved. Its mouth opened and closed repeatedly, as if it were trying to devour something. It had no limbs, no means to move, yet its eyes were fixed on two particular items: the demonic blood essences Novak had recently stored.

Frowning, Novak didn't rush to act. He watched the face hungrily eyeing the blood essences, unable to figure out why it hadn't reacted earlier. He had placed valuable items in this warehouse before, including the devil's blood from the Red Star Mental Hospital in the dream, yet the face hadn't shown any interest until now.

Could it be that the face only responded to demonic bloodlines?

Novak considered this, but hesitation wasn't in his nature. In his past life, he might have been more cautious with such a rare treasure, but now, with the black light virus enhancing his abilities, he was confident there would be more opportunities to acquire valuable items like these in the future.

Without further thought, Novak picked up one of the demonic blood essences and tossed it in front of the face.

Immediately, the face's mouth opened wider, producing a strange sound. Under Novak's watchful gaze, it devoured the two blood essences in a single gulp.

Novak's eyes widened in disbelief.

What just happened?

The face was barely more than a mask—it had no internal organs, no throat. Where had his blood essences gone?

He examined the face from different angles, but there was no trace of the items. The face was now chewing with a newfound energy, its expression shifting to one of excitement and joy—something Novak had never seen before.

This defied all logic.

But then again, this face was an anomaly, something beyond the realm of common sense.

For now, Novak could only wait and see what would come of it. As he watched, the face's expression turned greedy, its eyes locking onto him as if demanding more.

Novak sighed. "What do you think this is, candy? You can't just have more whenever you want."

The blood essences he had fed it were valuable beyond measure—A-grade and B-grade demonic bloodlines, particularly suited for combat. Even though the second one was of lesser quality, it was still a demon bloodline with immense potential for future evolution. In his previous life, these items would have sold for tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of gold coins.

Yet the face looked unsatisfied.

Novak shot it a stern glare. Had he not been certain the face lacked intelligence and was merely a special kind of treasure, he would have lectured it on the value of resources.

Sensing his displeasure, the face hastily sped up its chewing, its peaceful expression turning somewhat ferocious. Finally, after several moments of rapid chewing, the face opened its mouth once more and spat something out.

A lump of dark red meat hit the ground, congealed blood coating its surface. Novak recognized it immediately—it was the demonic bloodline, or rather, what remained of it after being processed by the face.

What is this thing?

Curiosity piqued, Novak picked up the strange object. The face, having lost interest, no longer looked as greedy, but Novak's attention was now fully on the item in his hand. As he examined it, his pupils contracted in surprise.

[Common Demon Blood Essence (A+ Grade)]

[Item Type: Pharmaceutical]

[Description: The demonic bloodline has been purified using a unique method, making the bloodline purer and significantly more powerful. There are, however, very high physical requirements for its use.]

[Use Requirements: Strength + Agility + Constitution ≥ 75 points]

A+ grade?! How could this be?

Novak stood frozen in shock. This was no ordinary demonic bloodline anymore!

It had been purified, refined into something far more potent!

Was this the result of purification?! Or had it fused the two bloodlines together into something stronger?!
