Chapter 11: Jack's Thoughts - The Roots of Hatred

------ October 11th 2024 Wednesday

After sending the thugs away. Jack sat in the shadows of his dimly lit room, the flickering light of a candle casting eerie shadows on the walls. The room was quiet, save for the faint hum of the wind outside. He wasn't sleeping. No, Jack never really slept anymore. His mind always raced, trapped in the memories of the past that he couldn't escape, even if he wanted to.

His fingers traced the edge of the desk in front of him, feeling the cold wood beneath his fingertips. It was in these moments of solitude that the memories would come rushing back. The memories of a time when he had been a child, innocent, hopeful, but unaware of the twisted fate that awaited him.

The Early Years: A Broken Home

Jack's father had once been a man of strength. He had been a successful businessman, a respected figure in their small town. But that was before his mother, Tiffany Stanford, died. Before everything fell apart.

Tiffany was the one person Jack had ever truly loved. She had been kind, gentle, and full of life. She had been the sun that had warmed his cold, empty world. But her death had shattered Jack in ways that even he couldn't fully comprehend at the time.

His father, once a proud and dignified man, had become a hollow shell of himself. He turned to alcohol to numb the pain, the loss of his wife transforming him into a bitter, angry drunkard who never came home from work, or when he did, he ignored Jack completely.

The house had become a place of silence, save for the occasional outburst from Jack's father. There was no love in their home anymore—just the stench of alcohol, the bitter words, and the ever-present tension in the air.

Jack hated his father. He hated him with every fiber of his being. It wasn't just the neglect or the absence—it was the way his father had failed him. And it was even worse when his father started bringing home women.

---

The Turning Point: A Father's Betrayal

The first time it happened, Jack was nine years old. His father had come home, reeking of cheap perfume and alcohol, his arm around a woman Jack had never seen before. He had a drunken smile on his face as he introduced her as "a friend" he was dating.

Jack's heart had twisted in his chest as he watched his father try to fill the void left by his mother's death with these women. It was as if she had never existed, like Tiffany Stanford had never meant anything to him.

"You'll never be as good as her," Jack had muttered under his breath that night, watching his father from the shadows. It wasn't just jealousy. It was rage. His father was replacing his mother, and Jack couldn't stand it.

As the years went on, the cycle repeated itself. One woman after another, each one a reminder that his father had given up on his own family. Jack could feel the resentment growing inside him, bubbling to the surface, but it wasn't until his father's obsession grew that it truly broke him.

---

The Obsession: A Father's Downfall

By the time Jack was twelve, his father had become obsessed with dating. He had convinced himself that he could never truly love again, but he needed to have someone. These women weren't just companionship—no, they were a desperate attempt to fill the empty space left by his wife. His father would often say that he was using them to "replace Tiffany"—a lie he told himself over and over again until it became his reality.

But Jack could see through the charade. He wasn't blind. He knew exactly what his father was doing, and it sickened him.

Jack began to feel a hatred that he couldn't even describe. He wanted to see his father suffer. He wanted to make him feel the same pain Jack had felt. The betrayal was too much to bear, and Jack's anger grew every day, festering like an open wound.

It was during this time, when Jack was at his breaking point, that his father made a fatal mistake.

---

The Death of Jack's Father

It happened when Jack was fourteen. His father had been seeing one of the women for months, and one night, Jack's father decided to take things further. He didn't know it at the time, but this woman was married—married to a local gang leader.

Jack had heard the whispers, the rumors, and when he found out what had happened, he couldn't believe it. His father had been murdered by the woman's husband. The gang leader had caught wind of the affair and, in his rage, killed Jack's father.

It should have been a moment of relief for Jack, but it wasn't. He had wanted his father dead for years. But now that it had happened, it didn't feel like a victory—it felt hollow. Jack felt nothing but a strange emptiness, the kind that had been brewing inside him for years.

He had hated his father, yes, but deep down, he realized that this hate had consumed him. It had been his entire reason for existing. Without it, Jack was lost.

But then something changed. Something that would alter the course of Jack's life forever.

The Gang: A New Beginning

The gang was ruthless, a group of men who ruled the streets with an iron fist. But in their world, power was everything. And when Jack saw an opportunity to take control, he seized it without hesitation.

His father's death had left a power struggle within high ranking members of the gang believing that thier leader was too reckless hence causing internal conflict,Jack saw this as the perfect opportunity to climb to the top. Using his raw strength, Jack broke into the gang's hideout and took out their leader. The fight was brutal, but it was exactly what Jack needed.

In the world of gangs, it wasn't about being the strongest fighter—it was about taking what you wanted, no matter the cost. Jack wasn't interested in the gang's lifestyle, but he knew that killing the leader would give him the power he needed. And when the dust settled, Jack was the new head of the gang. He had claimed his place through violence, through blood but to use them according to his plans he had to fix something's in thier organization.

The Rise of the Black Veiled Order

The air in the abandoned warehouse was thick with tension as the gang gathered around Jack. Dim, flickering lights cast long shadows on the cracked concrete floor. Jack stood at the center, his cold, calculating gaze scanning the faces of the once-fractured group. These were people driven by greed, fear, and chaos. But Jack saw potential—potential he would shape with an iron fist.

"Enough," Jack said, his voice sharp and commanding, cutting through the murmurs of the crowd. "You've been little more than scavengers, fighting over scraps and pretending to hold power. That changes now."

He stepped forward, his presence magnetic and terrifying. "From this moment, you are no longer a scattered band of nobodies. You are part of something greater, something unstoppable. You are now The Black Veiled Order—a shadow that will stretch across this city and beyond, consuming everything in its path. Our enemies will see nothing but darkness before they fall."

The gang members exchanged uneasy glances, but no one dared to speak. Jack's reputation was already cemented in their minds remembering the terrifying scene of when jack had brutally murdered thier former leader who was often revered as the strongest in the gang causing all present during that time to have a deep sense of fear towards Jack.

"Still hesitant?" Jack said, narrowing his eyes. One of the lieutenants, a burly man who had always resisted authority and was not present during the previous leaders death with overestimated arrogance dared to say "And what if we don't bow to your little dictatorship?" with a smirk

Jack didn't respond with words. He moved like a viper, his fist smashing into the man's chest with a devastating force enhanced by his Mind over Muscle system. Bones cracked audibly, and the lieutenant collapsed to the floor, gasping and writhing in pain. Jack loomed over him, his voice cold and unyielding. "This is your only warning. In the Black Veiled Order, loyalty is absolute. Defiance is death."

Turning back to the crowd, Jack gestured toward the black banner unfurling behind him. The emblem of the Order—a veiled skull surrounded by writhing shadows—seemed to glare back at the gang. "Under my rule, we will rise. We will seize power, wealth, and fear. But this is not a democracy. My word is law. You will obey, or you will be crushed."

The room fell into an uneasy silence. One by one, the gang members nodded, their expressions a mix of fear and reluctant admiration. Jack had made his point clear: under his leadership, weakness and dissent would not be tolerated.

From that day forward, The Black Veiled Order was born—a ruthless and enigmatic force, united under Jack's dictatorship. They would carve their legacy into the city with blood and shadow, a reflection of their leader's unrelenting will.

The Black Veiled Order: A Reign of Terror and Empire

After Jack's declaration of the Black Veiled Order —It started the birth of a ruthless, highly disciplined organization. Under Jack's iron-fisted leadership, the gang transformed into a force of fear and brutality, united by a singular purpose: to dominate the underground world.

Jack knew that chaos and disobedience were the roots of failure. To ensure loyalty and efficiency, he implemented a merciless training program that pushed recruits beyond their limits.

1. Endurance Trials

Recruits were forced through grueling physical drills, running for hours through abandoned industrial zones while carrying heavy weights. Those who collapsed or fell behind were subjected to public beatings or worse—exiled and left to fend for themselves against rival gangs.

2. Combat Proficiency

Combat training was the heart of Jack's regime. Recruits were drilled relentlessly in hand-to-hand combat, knife fighting, and firearms. Each session ended in brutal sparring matches, often leaving participants bloodied and broken. To prove their worth, recruits had to defeat multiple opponents at once in a no-holds-barred fight.

3. Psychological Conditioning

Fear and hesitation had no place in the Black Veiled Order. Recruits were subjected to surprise ambushes, sensory deprivation, and scenarios that forced them to make life-or-death decisions. Jack's goal was clear: to strip away weakness and replace it with unwavering obedience.

The survivors of this brutal regimen emerged as elite enforcers, feared for their precision and savagery. Each member was a living weapon, bound by Jack's unyielding code of loyalty and strength.

The Black Veiled Order's Operations

Jack's vision for the Black Veiled Order extended far beyond petty crime. He built a sprawling criminal enterprise, each branch serving to strengthen the gang's grip on the city.

1. Loan Sharking

The Order preyed on the desperate, offering loans at impossibly high interest rates. Payment was non-negotiable; those who failed to pay on time faced swift and public consequences. Broken limbs, shattered lives, and gruesome "examples" ensured that no one dared cross the Order.

2. Drug Empire

Through alliances with international cartels, the Order became the city's primary supplier of narcotics. From designer drugs for the wealthy to cheap stimulants for the streets, the Order controlled it all. Competitors were systematically eliminated, their operations either absorbed or destroyed.

3. Illegal Gambling

Hidden beneath the city were the Order's gambling dens, attracting a mix of wealthy elites and desperate addicts. These dens weren't just profitable; they were hubs for recruitment, blackmail, and intelligence gathering. Jack used them to expand his network of influence, tightening his grip on the city's underworld.

4. The Assassination Trade

What set the Black Veiled Order apart was their assassination business, ominously known as "The Veil." Jack turned killing into an art form, offering precision hits on anyone willing to pay. Targets ranged from rival gang leaders to high-profile politicians.

Each assassination was designed to send a message. Victims were left in grotesque displays—bodies dangling from overpasses, cryptic warnings scrawled in blood, or scenes staged to appear as suicides. Jack's assassins became legends, their reputation spreading fear across the underground world.

**

It wasn't long before Jack began to realize the extent of his power. He was no longer a powerless boy trapped in his father's shadow. He was the one in control now. And he would do anything to keep it that way.

---

The Feminine Voice: A Deal with the Devil

As Jack's power grew, so did his ambitions. It was then that he first heard her—the voice. The feminine, ethereal voice that seemed to come from nowhere and everywhere at once. At first, Jack thought it was a hallucination. But it wasn't. It was real.

The voice told him that if he wanted to get his mother back, he would have to make a deal with her. She would grant him the strength to achieve his goals, but in return, Jack would have to do something for her. The voice spoke of Ain, of a god, and of a mission that Jack had to complete.

Jack listened intently, his mind spinning with possibilities. He had never believed in gods or fate, but the voice promised him power beyond his wildest dreams. Power that would allow him to reshape the world to his liking.

The voice told him that he was the son of a great god, and that his mission was simple: kill the god son. Not just kill him, but kill him three times, ensuring that he could never reincarnate.

Jack didn't hesitate. He didn't question the voice. He had a goal now, a purpose that burned brighter than anything else in his life. And he would do whatever it took to see it through. He would kill the god son, and in doing so, he would become the most powerful man in the world.

---

The Path to Revenge: Sin and Betrayal

Jack's thoughts turned dark as he sat in the shadows, his mind racing with plans and schemes. The world he had built, the empire of violence and bloodshed—none of it mattered now. His true mission had just begun.

He had the power. He had the means. And he would use it all to kill the god who had wronged him & his mother. He would use Ain, his pawn, to achieve this. Jack's mind turned cold and calculating as he thought of the path that lay ahead.

He had been planning this for years. The battles, the fights, the ambushes—they had all been leading up to this moment. Jack had trained himself, fought for dominance, and killed without remorse. But none of it was for power, not really. It was all for revenge. For the god who had taken everything from him.

And now, with Ain as his weapon, he would bring that god to his knees.

---

Jack's eyes narrowed as the plan began to take shape. The time had come. The world would burn, and Jack would be the one to light the match.

The game was on, and there was no turning back.
