Chapter 13: Best Reply 8th Jan

Vikram and Sambhavi were relaxed now knowing there family have been settled financially.

So they were content now and they knew even though their son does not have a job in a company right now but he will figure something out.

Once the breakfast was done Vikram said: "Okay it is time for you two to go to school now since you are ready you can take the new Mercedes Benz."

Mayank denied and said "Dad no need for that since it is only five minutes walk from here to school."

Ria also agreed with Mayank as they decided to walk to school.

Vikram said "As you wish so you should get going then."

With that Mayank and Ria both went for their school.

Vikram said "I will also go to work now since it is already working hours in the farm."

In the earlier days both Sambhavi and Vikram used to work in the farm however later when Prashant started working and the situation of the family improved Sambhavi turned into a housewife and only did household works.

Prashant said "Dad you do not have to work in the farm anymore from now onwards. Instead for now you can look at the management of our hotel and also since I am already been terminated from my work so I am not planning to join any company soon and will start my own business since I have some capital. Please join me in my business instead." 

Vikram said "Sure after all it will be our family business I will definitely participate but in that situation I should still go to the farm and resign from there so that they can arrange for other people in my absence."

Prashant said "Sure in that case you can take the Mercedes Benz since none of us require it now. Mayank and Ria had already gone to school walking, I will stay at home with mom since I am already unemployed at the moment."

Vikram said "Sure then I will take the car for a spin to work."

On the other side Mayank and Ria had already reached school because the school was very much near to their mansion. Since Sky Blue Mansion was located at the Prime Location of the Middle region as School, College, Hospitals, Judiciary all were located near to it.

They went to school walking peacefully and attended their respective classes. This time Mayank did not pay any attention to Jane and her friends remarks. He also ignored the bullying of other boys who were supporting Jane to be on her good books.

Lisa who was Jane's friend and sat beside her said "Look at this idiot turning up in school. Even after getting so humiliated. No shame at all."

One of the boys said "We all know he is shameless after all his family is so poor. His family might not have a proper meal just to send him to this school but he is so selfish that he doesn't even care for his family and just want to pursue his own goal."

Jane was surprised to see Mayank without any visible bruises or injuries appear in school as if nothing has happened since she expected her brother to severely injure Mayank and his big brother Prashant however it seemed that Mayank was in fine condition.

For Mayank the things he had been through in the last two days has made him numb to all these provocations and had him realize how childish he had been behaving earlier. And how Jane had been fooling him and taking advantage of him for the past year. He also felt very ashamed of himself that because of him his big brother Prashant had to go through so much and promised himself that he will not fall for any wicked girl in the future. He was greatly inspired by his big brother Prashant who had always maintained his dignity and was so successful.

Jane was furious to see that Mayank had been ignoring all the insulting comments and provocations thrown at him as if it did not matter to him at all. Since she had always known Mayank to be an outgoing and extrovert person who had always replied back to any comments or jabs thrown at him. However today he was acting differently as he did not reply to any of the insults and simply ignored them. This Silence from Mayank was like a more powerful response to Jane and to the rest of the class.

Jane had been fooling Mayank for more than a year and had always ordered him around like a dog which had become a habit of hers over the time but now when he was taking a stand for himself which was making her mad since she thought after yesterdays beatings Mayank would come back to her looking for forgiveness so this time she can order him around even without being his girlfriend but now things were happening differently.

Jane had always been the Princess of her family and was treated like one. She got whatever she wanted thanks to her influential and rich family. Even when she came to this school she was the campus belle and all the boys were after her. She came from a different city a few years back and did not know much about Greenview City and the school.

Initially when she came and saw Mayank she was totally infatuated by him due to his handsomeness and she herself approached him thinking her choice to be the best. She thought this is a high class school and everyone was from a high class influential family since other's cannot afford the fees of the school and her thinking was correct since almost all her classmates were from high class influential families and Mayank was an anomaly among them.

But she did not know about Mayank's family background at that point of time. Little did she know that it was due to his big brother Prashant's hard work and labor that Mayank and her sister were able to afford their education from such a prestigious school.

Also Mayank had totally won her over through his charm and she had developed feelings for him at that time. Mayank was not only charming but also a genius in his academics so he was able to solve all her study related questions easily but as time passed the things opened up since Mayank and his family were never present in any of her social gatherings of the high society families and about half a year later she came to know the accurate condition of Mayank's family.

She became furious knowing the truth and felt she was being cheated as if it was all Mayank's fault that she had assumed him to be one of the the heirs of the high class family and it was his fault that he looked so charming since as per her these low class people do not have the ability to look charming and this was not Mayank's actual appearance per her he has only changed his appearance somehow to impress her like other boys do which was fake and his real self which should be vastly different and ugly.

She was arrogant and thought these kind of people who are low class poor people should be banned entry to her school and should be sent to a separate schools. The people who were poor or poverty stricken were worse than worms in her eyes and she could just could not stand them in her sight.

But she did not end her relationship with Mayank at that point of time after all he was so useful and always did her homework and all kinds of work for her. He had just become a tamed being for her who turned out to be a useful tool so she just planned on keeping him around so what if he thought she was still his girlfriend after all by that time she already had a new boyfriend and fiancé Dennis who was arranged by her family. So she never bothered to tell him and let him act as an idiot.

But day before yesterday when Mayank finally decided to cement his relationship with her she had to refuse him and could not continue to pretend this fake setup and had to end the relationship. Though she never had any feelings for him however she had lost a useful tool who did all kinds of work for her. 

However she had expected him to come back to her for her forgiveness and will ask her to stop her brother Kane to not bully him anymore and do her menial works since her brother had bullied him the previous night but unexpectedly amidst all the provocations he just ignored all of them and her and kept to himself as if they did not exist. Even when Jane tried to talk to him he ignored her.

Lisa said "Look at this idiot has he gone dumb or deaf. He cannot hear us."

All the boys started cackling after Lisa's remark and said "Look at the class genius has gone dumb. ha ha ha"
