Chapter 14: Talent cannot be Suppressed 9th Jan

The whole class was in chaos and everyone supported Jane since she was the campus belle and also the brother of Kane who had some connections with the underworld. But still she became extremely furious on this behavior of Mayank and thought "What does he think of himself?"

Lisa said "Does he think he is some kind of a Prince or what?"

Jane said "Let him do what he wants? Lets see till how long he can continue this pretense of his. Eventually he will have to come to our feet and then we can truly deal with his arrogance."

Jane knew that her brother Kane must be after them and eventually he will make him succumb and then he will have to ask for her forgiveness and will truly become her servant or dog.

At this time the class teacher came and everyone stood up and greeted "Good morning Mam."

Miss Stacey replied "Good morning children."

Miss Stacey then started her teachings. She taught math's which was a subject disliked by most in her class. After she taught her theory she asked students to solve problems based on the theory.

Miss Stacey said "Today we are going to solve this problem. Who wants to volunteer please raise your hand. "

Almost no one raised their hands since no one wanted to volunteer. The theory was a bit complicated so no one had the confidence to solve it. But then one person raised his hands.

Miss Stacey proudly said "As expected of the top scorer of the class always the first to solve problems. Come here my boy and show the class how this is solved."

All his classmates were looking at him with envious gazes since he was always appreciated by the teachers due to his brilliant academic talents.

Mayank came in front of his classmates and explained the theory and solved the problem effortlessly as Miss Stacey again praised Mayank and all his classmates became extremely envious. There is pin drop silence as if all those students who were trying to bully Mayank had been face slapped since their scheme to spoil Mayank's reputation and bully him had failed. He seems to be still popular at least in front of the teachers.

Mayank had always been the genius in his academics and was always the cause for making his classmates feel inferior to him also some time back when Jane was with Mayank his classmates used to look at him with Jealousy for the one to stole the campus belle of the school.

But still they used to be friendly with him since he was the class genius and also being Jane's boyfriend his status was elevated among them. Naturally they had always lingered around him making him the leader to be in his good books even though they knew he was not from their social class. Mayank was an outgoing person and always liked to help his classmates with their studies so he helped them solved many of their problems which was greatly appreciated by the class teacher Miss Stacey.

Two days ago when Jane broke up with Mayank all his classmates were gloating on his misfortune. Since now Jane was no longer his girlfriend and could be considered to be his opponent since they parted ways on a bad note no one followed him and even miss behaved with him with a lot of bullying and provocations.

But they could not stop Mayank to be the class genius since this was his natural talent. He was still the best and was appreciated by the teachers due to his exceptional performances. Earlier when he turned up to school and entered the classroom Mayank was met with a lot of Jeers and taunts but he ignored all of them. 

Since he was an outgoing person and was the class monitor previously they have seen him how he wittingly he used to reply to any of them whenever some one argued with him so they expected him to reply to them and if he replied since they were arguing on Jane's behalf she will be infuriated and will hate him more but on the contrary he kept mum and did not reply at all which was complete opposite of his previous ways of dealing things. So they hoped after breaking up with Jane and getting beaten by Jane's brother which was no secret Mayank's brain might have gone dumb and lost his previous intelligence.

But now that he had answered and solved the difficult problems asked by Miss Stacey it proved that he was very much the same person but was just ignoring them and giving them the silent treatment as if they were air. Sometimes silence is the best reply someone can give and could be more effective. It felt humiliating because they were the ones who were from a high class society and Mayank was from a poor family. They had already isolated him since yesterday and made him sit at the back bench of the class. Still he was able to grab the attention of Miss Stacey and called in front to show how a problem is being solved.

Jane on the other hand was fuming with rage because she was not able to get help from Mayank anymore since he ignored her this time and her other classmates could not help her solve the problems and make her understand them the way Mayank used to do it. She thought "You just wait till the school is over. My brother will teach you a lesson for life or just cripple you. If there is something which I cannot get I will make sure that nobody gets it."

Jane was mad due to the happenings in her school. She thought her brother Kane might have already dealt with Mayank and Prashant the two brothers but it seems some thing was not right because even after the last night events it seemed Mayank had not got the good sense to come to her and be her subordinate.

Once the school was over Jane rushed out of the school and her friend Lisa followed behind her hurriedly.

Lisa said "Jane wait why are you in so much hurry? Where do you want to go?"

Jane said " I want to teach Mayank a lesson. How dare he ignore us and behave like this."

Lisa said "Okay you can do so anytime but now is not the time for this you have to meet Dennis remember. You were planning to go on a date with Dennis and make your relationship with him public since you have broken up with Mayank."

Jane said "Oh! Yes you are right and that should make Mayank feel jealous. He wants to ignore us let him ignore then lets see how long he can endure."

Once the last period was over Mayank started to collect his things as he had to return home since there was no reason for Mayank to stay. His girlfriend had already left him and he believed that several of his classmates were his buddies, but they had joined the bullies and were actively harassing him.

He then met with Ria as her classes were also over and both had decided to return home together since it was only less than ten minutes walk to home.

Ria asked "Brother how were your classes?". She was aware of her brother's love interest since they both were on the same school and also knew about the recent breakup though Mayank or Prashant had never told her since she was only their little sister. Only thing she was not aware of was the last night's events where the two brother's had gone to Jane's mansion for patch up.

Mayank replied "As usual. How was your day?" Though there was so much of bullies but he did not want his little sister to think about his issues.

Ria replied "Yeah! It was fine. Let's return home shall we." She knew about her brother's worries but could not do anything about it. Also there was nothing much to do so they decided to return home.

They saw something odd as they got closer to the school's gate since it appeared like there was a gathering so they moved ahead to look at the matter. When they exited the gate they saw Jane and her classmates were gathered around a handsome looking boy on motor bike who was clearly not from this school and looked a few years older. He was in black jeans and jacket.

Jane embraced the man lovingly and kissed him on the lips in front of everyone and introduced him to her classmates who were present there mainly girls and said "He is Dennis my boyfriend and fiancée."

Lisa said "Hi Dennis. I am Lisa and one of Jane's closest friend."

Dennis said "Hi Lisa."

After saying hello to all of her friends, Dennis left with Jane in the back seat of his motorbike.

Mayank saw his ex girlfriend leave with the new boy but he did not feel sad instead he was happy that he was able to get away from such a person who had cheated him for the last two years. He wished if he had listened to his big brother before than he would not have to face this situation now.
