Sonia and James

Tohgi was taken aback by Sonia's calmness, her words hanging in the air. He quickly masked his shock, ensuring his expression remained neutral, not wanting to worry her further. Inside, however, his mind raced, grappling with the weight of her statement and the implications it carried.

Sonia: It's okay to look at me with disgust

Tohgi: It is more shock than disgust, but in most cases there is usually more to it than meets the eye

Sonia: As you should know from your time here, cursed magic comes at a cost and the cost almost exclusively requires a sacrifice, the magic spell the sovereign chose for you was ironic wasn't it? Still I found yours quite easy to do

Tohgi: Compared to killing your parents almost anything sounds easy to do

Sonia: I am a monster right? Mine was supposedly meant to be poetic, to destroy that which hunts you, you must first destroy that which binds you. That is the requirement to destroy magic.
