Everything happened so suddenly.
The remaining members of Team Galactic, including its four major Commanders, were completely caught off guard.
Their leader, Cyrus, had just been thrown into the very "New World" he had long dreamed of!
Along with him—Hunter J.
With the power of Dialga and Palkia no longer sustaining it, the space-time wormhole that served as the New World portal immediately began to shrink.
Commander Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter's expressions changed drastically.
They rushed forward, desperate to leap into the portal after their leader and reach the New World themselves!
But a massive figure stood before the wormhole, blocking their path entirely.
"Sorry, but you guys aren't going anywhere."
It was Regigigas—standing firm, like an immovable mountain.
Ash stood in front of it.
No way he was going to let these Team Galactic Commanders escape. This was a grand "gift" he had prepared for Cynthia.
With these criminals captured, the Sinnoh League would surely honor Cynthia with great merit!
Cynthia stared at Ash in stunned silence. That towering Pokémon—was it really Regigigas?
Ash had actually captured Regigigas?
Unbelievable!
And not only that—he had taken down Team Galactic's entire operation in the blink of an eye.
The remaining Commanders? Not even worth worrying about compared to Cynthia's strength.
"Graahhh!"
Seeing their Trainer tossed into the wormhole, Hunter J's Salamence and Drapion went berserk, launching themselves straight toward Ash in a frenzy!
Hyper Beam! Iron Tail!
Regigigas immediately raised its enormous palms, encasing Ash entirely within them—without leaving even the tiniest gap.
The Hyper Beam and Iron Tail struck Regigigas squarely—but it didn't budge an inch.
"Smack Down!"
Two palms the size of giant slabs came crashing down with terrifying force—one on Salamence, one on Drapion.
BOOM!
BOOM!
Both Pokémon crashed to the ground, dazed. A system prompt echoed in Ash's mind, confirming Regigigas had gained battle experience.
Not long after, Saturn, Mars, Jupiter, and even Professor Charon were all taken into custody—thanks to Cynthia's swift and decisive action.
As for Dawn, Anabel, and Lyra —Ash had left them outside the cavern for their safety.
With Pikachu and Mewtwo keeping watch, Ash had no worries.
"...Ash, the more pressing matter now is how to calm Dialga and Palkia. Their rage could cause devastating consequences..."
Cynthia's tone was grave as she glanced toward the two freed deities, no longer restrained by the Red Chain.
"Aaaaooon!!"
"Screeeech!!"
Dialga and Palkia were livid—confused as to why they had been summoned here, immediately clashing with their eternal rival, and then manipulated by a mere human. Their fury was boundless.
Before they could lash out and tear the mountain apart—
Ash stepped forward, standing atop Regigigas's massive shoulder, placing himself right between the two mighty dragons.
"Ash, be careful!" Cynthia called out in alarm, her heart leaping into her throat.
This was far too reckless!
Ash glanced back at her, flashing a calm, reassuring smile. Then, turning to the twin deities, he called out:
"Dialga, Palkia—it's been a while. I'm asking you for a favor. Let this matter end here. The one who wronged you has already paid the price. He's been banished—he won't be coming back."
THUMP.
Regigigas subtly moved behind him, all the glowing dots across its body focusing intently on Dialga and Palkia.
Truth be told, Regigigas was itching to test its strength against them.
Even though it wasn't at their level in terms of tier, it was built stronger than either of them physically!
Dialga and Palkia exchanged glances. How could they forget?
Back in Celestic Town, this very Trainer had brought along not one but three Legendary Pokémon—and Celebi too—to stop their previous clash.
And now?
He had yet another Legendary at his side.
Regigigas.
And it wasn't just any Regigigas—it was level 100+!
"Aaaaooon."
"Screeeech."
With a final low growl, the two dragons nodded, then turned to open dimensional rifts of their own.
With a flash of spatial and temporal light, both vanished into their respective realms.
Had they known that Ash's Mewtwo was also level 100+, and both Latias and Darkrai were already at level 103, they might have been even more shocked.
Aside from Ash, no one had expected this battle—which could have torn Mt. Coronet apart—to end so peacefully.
Cynthia's heart trembled.
Ash… had grown this powerful?
But she quickly came to another realization—Ash's ownership of Regigigas absolutely had to be kept secret.
The problem? So many Team Galactic members had seen it with their own eyes. How could that be undone?
If Ash knew what she was thinking, he'd probably find her adorably naive.
Cynthia, I'd never make such a rookie mistake.
The truth? Mewtwo had been hiding in the shadows the entire time—not just to protect Dawn and the others...
But also to erase the memories of everyone who had seen Regigigas.
Ash had already given the order long ago—Mewtwo had wiped the memory of every Team Galactic member, ensuring no trace of Regigigas remained in their minds.
This was something Latias—despite being a Psychic-type—could never pull off.
But Mewtwo? More than capable.
Irreplaceable.
After safely recalling Regigigas, Ash turned to Cynthia.
"Long time no see, Cynthia. So… what do you think of this little gift?"
Cynthia instantly caught his meaning and started to shake her head—but before she could object, Ash pulled out a special token: the honorary Ranger badge.
"With this, I already have all the credibility I need. These guys are more useful to you than me. Take the credit—you've earned it. Capture of Team Galactic, dismantling Sinnoh's largest poaching operation… impressive."
Ash's teasing grin made Cynthia blush slightly.
She was touched.
She wasn't just some outsider—she'd worked within the Sinnoh League for years. She knew how valuable this accomplishment was.
It could've significantly boosted Ash's status with the Pokémon Rangers too.
Yet he gave it all to her, without a second thought.
Cynthia made up her mind: when the reports were written, she'd make sure half the credit went to Ash.
After all, he did do all the work.
And if she gave him half, he probably wouldn't complain, right? Hehe...
Cynthia giggled to herself, a little dazed.
