Chapter 64: Family Moments

The hospital room's huge windows let in the early light, which cast a lovely glow over Amelia and the infant she was cradling. Sophia was sleeping soundly on her mother's breast after finishing her dinner. Amelia marvelled at her little stature, noting that her tiny fingers barely touched the hem of her hospital robe.

She looked up to find Andrew observing them closely. He sat next to the bed with his elbows resting on his knees, sporting the same mysterious look he often wore at business meetings. But this wasn't a conference room, and Amelia wasn't a business competitor.

She gave birth to his child.

"Would you want to kidnap her?" she said quietly.

Andrew stared at her face for a second, then turned back to Sophia. "I don't want to bother her."

Amelia moved a little and told him she would be all right. "Let's go."
